Geryon Releasing New Album "The Wound And The Bow"
New York City-based Geryon is finalizing the outfit's new album, "The Wound And The Bow," which will see release in early April under the banner of Profound Lore Records.
Geryon is an avant-garde technical prog-death metal duo comprised of one half of Krallice, namely bassist/vocalist Nicholas McMaster and drummer Lev Weinstein.
Following a self-titled independent album in 2013, Geryon now presents this sophomore full-length recording, "The Wound And The Bow." While seemingly stripped down to the bare minimum without any electric guitars in the mix whatsoever, utilizing lyrics written by McMaster's sister, Antonia, the sounds that pour forth from "The Wound And The Bow" present an enveloping and overwhelming picture.
The album was produced at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves in New York City by Colin Marston, who also performs in Krallice in addition to Gorguts, Dysrhythmia, and more. The record also features guest electronic music contributions from the likes of Jim Mroz (Lussuria), Nick Podgurski (New Firmament, Feast of the Epiphany), and Chris Latina (Private Archive, Article Collection), as well as Marston.
Profound Lore Records will release "The Wound And The Bow" on April 8th, 2016. The track listing is as follows:
1. Silent Command
2. Dawn
3. Lys
4. Skein
5. Legion
6. The Wound And The Bow
7. Dioscuri
