New Bassist Named By Olathia
Cleveland up and coming metal act Olathia announced a changed the line up and has brought in JD Donatelli as bassist.
“Sully departed for personal reasons, we wish him well,” says lead vocalist Chris E. "We looked at this change as an opportunity to grow our sound. We’ve been writing and performing together for a solid year now and the evolution of our song writing has really started to take on a life of its own. Writing is an interesting process, you can’t hold back. When we met JD there was an electric vibe right off, we felt that he could add that extra level of creativity."
JD’s debut performance will be on January 16th at Olathia’s video shoot concert at The Empire Concert Club in Akron, Ohio. "'Hellhound' is a crowd favorite, we are looking to grab the essence and craziness of that song in a live performance for the video."
Olathia released the debut album "Hunters" in May of 2015. The album caught the attention of classic metal fans along with newer metal audiences. Olathia takes metal in a direction that’s both fluid and grooving; a combination of super heaviness mixed with catchy riffs, screaming solos and crushing lush vocals.
A follow up album is planned for late 2016 and Olathia are currently are performing shows in support of Hunters.
The revised lineup is:
Steve Albenze - Guitar
Jeff Morrow - Drums
Chris E. - Vocals
