Haha, yeah. While I'd like to imagine they did the "gig" without any prior knowledge of what they were getting themselves into, it's pretty obvious it's all just part of the act.
Still, it's hard not to love these guys. The music they write, though arguably a bit derivative, is actually quite good. Even though many would peg them as "offensive for the sake of being offensive" in terms of lyrical content, a lot of it is clearly tongue-in-cheek humor poking fun at the stereotypes themselves.
But that's why I commend these guys. In a world where everyone is looking for reasons to get their panties in a bunch and get outraged, they stick to their guns and don't apologize for it.

True, but if they have to edit it to be rated R instead on NC-17, then the movie would have about 6 minutes of plot development and that's it.
Also, props to cbella for putting Steel Panther and 'full length' in the same sentence.
