Revel In Flesh Posts 2015 Recap, Working On New Album
Germany's Revel In Flesh just checked in with this year-end message and announcement about upcoming activity:
"2015 is finally crawling to its end…It has been a really active and as well productive year in the logbook of Revel In Flesh. We’ve played more shows than in the previous years and with a look at the map of Germany we’ve conquered many regions. Some damned good memories like the minitours with Puteraeon, Obscure Infinity, Graveyard, and Decapitated Christ.
"Protzen festival, Summer Breeze, or for example the damned cool club show in Essen supporting Soulburn and Thanatos. For sure a crazy journey thus far! Thanx a lot to all those freaks and die hard maniacs who helped us in every possible way to spread the Deathkult!
"At the current state we stuck already in songwriting process for a possible 4th Revel In Flesh album, which is most likely supposed to hit the lights in 2016. Before this we will have in spring another split 7” EP coming up with a Swedish band, who basically did a nowadays called cult underground album back in 1993. Stay tuned for more details on the vinyl 'Casket Ride!'
"One more thing that comes to my mind now as well: it seems that a lot of critics claim that there’s too much old school death metal (especially Swedish sound inspired) out there nowadays! Well, in our case I think that back in 2011 when we started with writing material for Revel In Flesh there was no talk about overkill or even of something like 'a new wave of German death metal!' A lot of hype is always created by those who complain afterwards!
"All I can assure you is that the principles behind the idea of Revel In Flesh are still the same like back then: It’s the PASSION and the DEDICATION for our (!) kind of DEATH METAL! No matter what other say, we stick to our guns: PEDAL RIDDEN DEATHKULT!
"Finally we like to sent a cheerz in remembrance to all those within the metal scene who passed away this year, especially Lemmy of Motorhead! As you unfortunately know the real list is much longer, but anyway real dedication will always be remembered!"
