Queen Announce Tour
Brian May announced that Queen would reform for a massive world tour with Paul Rogers as the vocalist. “I won’t go into more details right now, but, barring accidents, Queen and Paul Rodgers will be on the road, pretty much for sure, around April 2005,” May wrote on his official website, www.brianmay.com.
The shows will feature both Queen and Rodgers material. It is unknown whether original bass player John Deacon, who retired from live performances in 1997, will participate in the reunion.

i've seen bad co. featuring paul about 7 or 8 times, and he does have the vocal range to perform the songs of queen. it would be well worth the ticket price just to see if they can pull it all together. a lot of the old rockers still have the heart to put themselves out there for the benefit of the fans. all the young metalheads should open themselves up to the experience. they'll be suprised. HIMMM!!!!

HIMMM's got it right QUEEN is another one of those great band's that influenced alot more people than most of the kid's think mainly because in the last 10 to 20 years . Metal has moved away from it's more melodic root's . Don't get me wrong I loved Pantera , Metallica , slayer etc. as much as anybody else , but they represent an almost total departure from what was going on from the 60's till about 95-96 somwheir in their . as a result band's like MOTLEY CRUE along with harder acts like DIO or DOKKEN don't get the respect they deserve as inovater's if not full blown icon's . Hell even metallica is'nt getting the respect they deserve because they've taken on a more melodic sound . Either way if thing's keep going like they are with Crue and VELVET REVOLVER and other band's preparing to make a come back the next few years should be interesting atleast .

OKAY, TATER, HERE'S THE DEAL. i'll go slow so you can follow where i'm coming from. queen came out with a vision of music that was not mainstream at the time. in fact, queen and freddie mercury recieved a lot of critisizm for their lifestyle and artistic tastes. are you with me? good, lets continue...... it's not the actual or literal interpretation of thier lyrics which was pioneering, but rather the nerve that they showed by going against mainstream conservative views, and having the balls to stick to it against a lot of oppression at the time. there were a lot of great artists coming out at the time of queens debut, but most of them followed what had already been established in the industry as the norm. are you staying with me, tater? your head is probably hurting by now so i'll finish up.......queen came out with thier own style and by thier own rules, not letting all the elements around them affect how they perceived the world they lived in. that is why they were and are an influence in modern metal, because if they only followed instead of taking steps to lead, who would have actually stepped up to change things? where would that leave all the marilyn mansons, motley crues, ronnie james dios, matallicas, megadeaths, skinny puppies, and countless others who dared to change what the industry and mainstream media called normal?? huh? can you give me an answer on that? or do you now reconsider your remarks about riding a bicycle. HIMMM!!!! (whew, i'm am so out of breath, and my fingers hurt. thanks, tater.)

i use CAPS to show emotion or a strong loud opinion. others use it to try and be cute smart-asses. it's got to be something that really rubs me the wrong way to get me to yelling, but once i start, i have a hard time stopping until a satisfying amount of verbal destruction has been achieved. sorry, always been that way. HIMMM!!!!

yeah, yelling, some people you can,t get a reaction out of don't respond to anything but yelling. 70% of the people who post on underground have smart and relevant things to say, the others need, desperately need, to be YELLED AT. but thats just my opinion. HIMMM!!!!
