dimmu borgir, while talented should drop the gimmick, seeing them pose in pictures breaks me up everytime, i mean, who are they trying to scare or impress with the lame a$$ posturing....people might take them more seriously if they looked at least a little more normal, that armor cant be comfortable....has to limit their stage performance mobility.....

My Line up...
headliners on down to openers: SABBATH, SLAYER( nuff said), MANSON ( im no raging fan, but the 2001 show changed my whole opinion of the man and the band) METALLICA (will never ever happen, well probably not...strictly old school 82-89 material only would be great)SYSTEM OF A DOWN (for the frantic kids and the poli-sci majors...why not?) PORCUPINE TREE (entirely too mellow, but that was said of Incubus and the crowds loved em the year they played) STRAPPING YOUNG LAD(I have a strong feeling they will be there anyway....) MUDVAYNE (cold chills just thinking about their live show....)SHADOWS FALL (marvelous band, have been for an age now..) KILLSWITCH ENGAGE(crowd loved them as well on 2003 outing, people went bat shhit for "numbered days" and "last serenade") LAMB OF GOD ( how can you not have these guys?!?!)
other great bands that should be there DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, POISON THE WELL, CONVERGE, NIN, COLD, DEFTONES, SEVENDUST, DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND, OPETH, HOPESFALL, HATEBREED, FEAR FACTORY, MESHUGGAH ARCH ENEMY, SLIPKNOT, (hed) PE..someone needs a party vibe rite?...ugh okay im done..hehe that was just ff the top of my head to hehe

At last year's ozzfest, Lamb of God, Unearth, and God Forbid rocked the second stage. I want to see Shadows fall and Killswitch and an upcoming band called Trivium rock it this year. As for the main stage I'd be ballin' if they got OPETH, especially if they got at least 50 minutes like slayer did last year. 50 minutes is like 4 songs for them.

I think slipknot should definately hit up the second stage and they should play at least for 50 min, Lamb of god , god forbid, otep, strapping young lad, zao,DEVILDRIVER,unearth, yellowcard!!!!, J/K,Lacuna coil, arch enemy, himsa, cradle of filth, NO HATEBREED f*** THEM NIGGAS. ON main stage it should be black sabbath, iron maiden, slayer, rammstein, dimmu borgir,BLS, superjoint ritual, and a perfect circle to start off so everyone can chill out after the pits on the second stage!!!! later biatches

F*ck Manson, F*ck Fagbreed, and F*ck , Mudvayne. Those 3 bands are terrible but anyway....I'd love to see Megadeth, Maiden, killswitch, SHADOWS FALL, (awesome band), metallica? maybe, slayer, CHILDREN OF BODOM, alexi rules, Atreyu is a good hardcore band. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. zakk wylde rules. And of course the 1 and only black sabbath. I am looking forward to seeing the 2005 ozzfest lineup. im pretty sure it will rule.

never met anyone who hated mudvayne but liked killswitch.....i find that really odd, but to each his own..and for the sheer fact that i'm here i happen to concur with derail, since my name is a pairing of 2 of the many good(some not so good) bands he mentioned....porcupine tree at ozzfest....that would be something, their a little to "chill" for that crowd....Opeth would be great for that venue though
it would be like pinkfloyd at krazy fest between Locust and Converge.. i dont think it would work...

megadeth, black label society, arch enemy, lamb of god, superjoint ritual, cradle of filth, jerry cantrell, opeth, otep, demon hunter, sittin idol, devildriver, pain, six feet under, morbid angel, meshuggah, anthrax, slayer, nashville p***y, HIM, any of those bands

Now that is a f***ing impressive list. considering maiden and Converge are listed (quite possibly criminally insane, but brilliant band) are both listed u pretty much tagged most of the worthwhile bands.....every genre...well thankfully no hair metal....is represented. i'd go to this ozzfest in heartbeat....just so Locust could be a rude alarm clock to start the day and then cap off the night with NIN, Slayer, Tool and Sabbath...

56. writes:
I think Black abbath should headline, not ozzy's solo sh**. I have a feeling H.I.M., Velvet Revolver, Anthrax and Mudvayne will be there. Do I want some of these bands to be there? Definently not. Velvet Revolver blow. I hope In Flames, norma jean, Glass Casket and Kataklysm will be there.

It's all about Hatebreed they kick @$$ and Shadows Fall,Atreyu,Mudvayne,Black Sabbath,Slayer,Judas Priest,Cradle of Filth,dimmu Borgir,Unearth,Superjiont Ritual,Static X,Slipknot,
Megadeth,Lamb of God,Korn,Killswith Engage,Himsa,God Forbid,Every Time I Die,As I Lay Dying,
Fear Factory,In Flames,Damage Plan,The Haunted,Heaven Shall Burn All should be there too. Hmmmmmm............Ummmm Kittie? okay sure whatever there okay.

heh yeah shadow of death, as much as i like killswitch, to call Opeth untalented is something of a hillarious joke, i laughed for solid 10 minutes or so, when i calmed down enough to type sans giggles i had to reply...
"how unfortunate that you have been stricken deaf, my son, science is making leaps all the time to assist the hearing imparied. clearly the loss of audio perception has caused a touch of delerium, you poor poor soul"
feh, anyway, the only reason im blown away by him not liking mudvayne but liking killswitch is that the singers have roughly equal range, the instrumentation of both bands is intricate tight and crushingly heavy and the lyrics of both bands are pretty much centered around documenting personal struggles....
they are very similar bands in many respects...my guess is he just has some unhappy memories tied to mudvayne or someone who likes them, cause those two bands pretty much read from the same musical playbook, right down to how they format their song structures and time signatures...

okay, i can't believe anyone suggested Metallica. for one it's not gonna happen because they would have to headline. and Sharon wouldn't like that. two, ozzfest tickest already cost $500 (that's for the lawn) and if Metallica were there the tickets would be even more unbelievable.
