Steorrah Comments On Crowd Funding SNAFU With Sellaband

Steorrah has issued a statement online about running into an unexpected problem with crowdfunding - the band's campaign was successful, but the funding site has never actually payed out the raised funds. Steorrah comments:

"Dear Metal community, remember when we crowdfunded our recent album 'II: Thin White Paint?' A lot of metal fans worldwide supported us and all went well. Or did it?

"Sellaband.com, our crowdfunding platform, has kept us waiting for the money for months on end and now it seems we may not get our money at all, a sum of approx. 2,500€.

"This is because Sellaband appears to be unable to pay out the money they had already collected on our behalf.

"It goes without saying that this puts us in a very bad situation, since we have had to pay our bills nonetheless... We hope Sellaband can still rectify the situation and do not want to speculate whether the reasons for their inability to pay out the money (alleged US banking issues) are legitimate or not.

"However we have drastically decreased our prices at Bandcamp to try and offset the damage already done. You can now download our albums for 4€ each and buy CDs and T-Shirts for 7€. If you like what you hear on bandcamp, please spread the word and help us save the day!"
