Slayer's Kerry King On Ghost: "I Love The Imagery, I Just Hate The Fucking Music"

In a video with Artisan News Service (which can be seen here if the YouTube player below won't load properly), Kerry King of Slayer discusses his feelings towards the cross-genre megastar band Ghost, which has divided the metal community between its sound and imagery.
King comments:
"Dude, I love the imagery. I love it. I just hate the fucking music. I like them. You know, they've been on many tours with us. I just, I can't. And I tried. I wanna like them, and I can't.
"I got their CD from Brian Slagel from Metal Blade. It was when Gary Holt first started playing with us, and I picked up Gary. And I'm, like, 'Brian said this is awesome, man.'
"So we put it in, going to practice. It wasn't awesome. It wasn't awesome for me. I'm, like, 'Well, maybe just the first song sucks.' And we went to the next one. It's just not for me... And I've tried so hard."
Slayer's new album "Repentless" is set to drop on September 11th (check out the title track here), while Ghost just returned with Papa Emeritus III and will release the "Meliora" album on August 21st. If you missed Ghost's latest video, "Cirice" is still available at this location.

Christ, KK is so f***ing SERIOUS all the time. Take a deep breath, little dude!
Errybody knows Ghost and Slipknot are the Beach Boys of metal.
Sometimes I have to remind myself that KK once owned a disco. You know, just to keep his b.s. in perspective.
