"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Butcher Babies Thanks All The Naysayers

Butcher Babies gets a lot of hate on Metalunderground (and about any other metal site it seems like), but according to front woman Heidi Shepherd, that hate is what they want and it just propels the band on farther (this may make quality the band members for Sith status - discuss below).

During an interview at this year's Download Festival in Donington Park, Heidi spoke with Heavy Metal Artwork, in which she said:

"The naysayers are the ones that push me the hardest... I had this teacher in junior high that told my mom that I would never be successful at something. Like, what a jerk! And so I was, like, 'Yeah. Fuck that!' And I so I got great grades.... People who tell me 'no,' I'm going to do it. So thank you to the naysayers."

You can watch the full interview below. If you want to know what Butcher Babies brings to the live stage, check out the band's entire Hellfest performance right here, or you can see the recent music video for "Monsters Ball" at this location.
