Insane Cancels Russian Tour Due To Visa Problems
Hungarian outfit Insane has issued the following statement about cancelling upcoming Russian tour dates:
"We stand totally incomprehensibly, and yet we hardly realize what has just happened. It seems that the politics showed its white teeth again and it demonstrated us how to ruin 4 Hungarian guy's dream in one second.
"The story is as follows. About six months ago, we began to organize a Russian / Ukrainian tour. This took a lot of efforts besides our normal jobs, but we do these only because we love making music and we like to go to places where we have not been before. About 10 years ago we were in Moscow, it was such a great experience for all of us as since then we plan to return. This dream is over now its scattered.
"You do need to have a visa to Russia. We arranged every visa related papers and documents in time. All the documents were handed over in time to the visa center but after all processes it turned out the out of the 4 people only 1 could get the visa. When we asked on telephone what is the reason behind of our visa rejection we got the following response: 'do not know,' 'we can`t tell.'
"After several other calls we still did not get any reasonable answer to our question everyone kept saying 'we cannot tell why you did not get a visa.' It exists in 2015, really? We have lost more than 100,000 HUF with this visa process, but it does not hurt as much as the wrong attitude and the way of this whole process went through. So what hurts us is the fact that with this we can`t make these shows and as we can`t make it we cause trouble for the organizers who have done a lot (money, time) to make this happen.
"Not to mention all the girls and guys who would`ve came out to these concerts. At the beginning of the tour there would have been three shows in Ukraine what we also have to cancel as this won`t come out financially even if we do our best. Unfortunately none of us is a millionaire or a children of a millionaire who can just throw out a few hundred thousand forints.
"We sincerely regret what has happened and we hope that you understand the current situation. We would like to apologize mostly to the tour organizer and for all the organizers involved and for all those who would have come to see us! We feel really sorry with a pure heart! We know that this is not enough, but we can`t say more than that at the moment, so ashamed we are…"
