I have to say that this tops Obscura's last album, which is a tall order to fill. Pretty awesome album from start to finish!

I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but I definitely like this more than Obscura. Mainly because the bass is a bit lower in the mix and the tone is much less rubbery. I probably would've liked Obscura a lot more but I found it really distracting.

Musically these guys are all over the place but somehow they make it work. From Blotted Science to Tool to Yes and plenty in between.

f***in' fabulous. While both are in similar sub-genres, I'd say Obscura is more tech than prog, whereas this is more prog than tech. I dig the mixture.

Strong album. All killer no filler. And to top it off I can honestly say I've never heard music like this before. Never thought that'd happen again.

Yeah, definitely. But it's hard not to draw at least some comparison considering at one point 3/5 of this band was 3/4 of Obscura.

It certainly is very different. A different songwriter's angle for sure. I f*cking love it myself. It's so much more dynamic and musical in general. I like me some technical music but the scale-dancing gets tiring after a while.

Heh, I was about to comment about C-Value Enigma and write something along the lines of "Video or it didn't happen" but I checked YouTube first and got my answer.

I really dig this record, so much maturity. These guys are pushing the limits of modern progressive metal.
