Heaven's Cry Recording New Album, Vocalist Appearing On T.V. Show

Having successfully returned from a seven-year hiatus with the release of 2012 comeback “Wheels of Impermanence,” the Montreal-based progressive metallists from Heaven's Cry are excited to reveal that they have entered the studio to begin recording a new record.

Featuring Pierre St-Jean (vocals, guitar), Sylvain Auclair (vocals, bass), Eric Jarrin (guitars), and René Lacharité (drums), the album is expected to be released this Fall.

Jarrin — also known for his work with Despised Icon — commented, “We are extremely excited about the new album. It’s coming along great. Drums and bass are recorded and guitar tracks are well on the way! So far, this is the most mature and sophisticated album we’ve written. Expect long and complex songs with intricate passages mixed with easy-to-listen song structures topped with our usual prog finesse.”

Stay tuned for more information in the coming months. In addition to recording new material with Heaven's Cry, Auclair can currently be seen as a contestant on “Le Voix,” Quebec’s version of the popular reality show/talent competition “The Voice.” Auclair entered the first round with a cover of the Foo Fighters classic “Best of You” and will be continuing to compete throughout the season.
