Hexa Mera Recruits New Bassist Niels Van Roy
Hexa Mera's new bassist Niels Van Roy has issued the following statement about joining the band:
"Hi everyone! I've been following HXMR for a while now, and when Dennis decided to leave the band I was excited to take his place behind the bass. I've already had some good times with this bunch of scallywags and I'm sure there's more to come!"
Former member Dennis De Braekeler also had this to say about departing the group:
"Looking back on 2014, I think Hexa Mera had a great year. Although we didn't play as much concerts as we did the year before, we worked hard and spent much time as a band. This was rewarded with two big events: the release of a music video for 'The System Has Failed' and later that year we presented our first full-album Human Entropy. Playing gigs with 'my band', seeing fans and friends have a good time and working on these projects was very satisfying.
"Unfortunately I also have some different news. As some of you may have already noticed, I switched places with Niels Van Roy Due to personal interests and goals, I am not able to be as dedicated to the band as I used to be.Therefore, I decided to quit the band.
"I will move to a place in front of the stage, to the public, the fans, the ones that come out and enjoy the hard work of their friends. As I said, Niels will replace me on the bass and I am confident that he will continue to do a very good job.
"Thank you to all fans and friends for being there with us. I enjoyed it very much! Have a great 2015!"
