5 years = we're due for the next one. That's their standard rate.
But yeah, California was disappointingly straight-forward by their standards. I think the problem was Patton was having some Bacharach/lounge music obsession at the time and it kind of streamlined the general madness which is meant to be found on a Bungle album.

If anyone in this messageboard knows anything about music they'll know that Mike Patton is probally one of the most influencial muscians on the scene today. He has and keeps pushing the envelope further and further with everything he puts together. The Bungle release California was Great. The tone of the album from start to finish was very very complex. His talents are also so often used with so many other artists that nobody seems to pay attention to. And come one people, you can't deny Fantomas or Tomahawk.

I think the X-ecutioners album is going to be great and I love the fact that music is continuing to be more Experimental by the day, thanks to Patton and many other innnovators, including Dan the Automator.I just ordered the Patton&Kaada cd, real interested as to what thats going to sound like, the sound clips on kaada's website sound like an eerie Fantomas/Lovage mix.
I have high expectations for the cutioner album, kind of expecting a beat box like Adult Themes?, anyone know if Patton is going to release any recording with Razel on cd?

f*** there are some truly stupid people... its funny that someone who obviously doesnt know sh** regarding the musical styling of Mike Patton accuses him of selling out. Mike Patton is one of the most innovative artists around today. And as mainstream orientated as Fantomas obviously is (sarcasm children) I hardly think he's selling out. Apparently the Bungle thing is sorta mid air, Patton thinks its over, which is pretty disappointing. I wish he would put all of his energy into one band for awhile!

BATTLING. I REPEAT! 4 people on machines with records BATTLING ONE INSANE MOTHER f***ER OF A VOICE. ahhhhhhhhh - you upset me you morons. you should want to kill for this.
