Abhorrent Decimation Issues New Album Update

Abhorrent Decimation today confirms material for the band's debut album is complete. Vocalist Ashley Scott had this to say:

“I’m delighted to say as far as writing is concerned we are finished, done and dusted – we spent most of last weekend polishing up the pre-pro demos and now we are all booked in to the studios to record our own individual parts.

"Something is mutating, it’s been a tough process to tell the truth, testing at times. I would be surprised if any band said it was easy and that they can just churn the material out, without incident. We focused heavily on what aspects of the 'Infected Celestial Utopia' EP we wanted to elaborate on, traits we wanted to eradicate, new influences we wanted to let in etc.

"The concept for this record had been in my mind for sometime, I knew the visuals I wanted to create and the story I wanted to tell with it. It can’t go unmentioned that our guitarist Dave [McKinney] again has an absolute integral role to play in the making of this album. I’m glad to say however we all have had a part to play, [Will] Cooke has some riffs in there, [David] Archer has some compositional input on a few of the tracks as well as composing all the intro and interlude arrangements. In the main, a real team effort.

"This material is crushing! We have created a statement of intent with this record and now we must deliver. It’s an interesting listen with buckets of personality. Expect blast beats, breakdowns, solos, atmospheric sections, French horns, catchy hooks and sub drops.”

The record will be mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström, Enhanced Audio Productions (Garageland Studios, Sweden). All guitar tracking will be recorded at Audio Empire by Dave McKinney, while all bass, vocals and drum tracking will be recorded at Tidal Force Studios by David Archer. Ashley confirms “… all going well, we expect the finished item back from Ronnie and in our hands January 2015, then we begin the promotional work to make this as big a success as possible.”
