In The War Against Terrorism (or TWAT for short) the ultimate weapon is apparently rock music. Troops working in Fallujah, Iraq have a new weapon of choice - heavy metal!

The armies are reported to have tried using loud blasts of AC/DC, Metallica and other bands to discomfort their enemy.

James Hetfiled had the following to say about the use of his music as an offensive tool, "For me, the lyrics are a form of expression, a freedom to express my insanity," Hetfield told a US radio station. "If the Iraqis aren't used to freedom, then I'm glad to be part of their exposure. We've been punishing our parents, our wives, our loved ones with this music forever. Why should the Iraqis be any different?"

He says that he understands why heavy metal can be used as such a destructive tool for interrogation, "It's the relentlessness of the music. It's completely relentless. ... If I listened to a death metal band for 12 hours in a row, I'd go insane, too. I'd tell you anything you wanted to know."

See, I wouldnt mund this at all, but for God sakes use some real heavy f***ing metal like Slayer, In flames (old), At the Gates. These are all good too and better. Metallica and AC/DC are nice and heavy, but if you really want to scare the sh** out of the towel heads, use these bands. Believe me, I was there for 2 months.

we need for the USO to come over here and have a heavy metal band do a show...show support to the troops that are over here...the hardest i seen it get was kidrock..f*** did that suck, but at least he came over here...when i get out of the military..i'm going to try my f***en hardest to get my band and some others to go show our troops that love metal, support..anybody will be awesome for the people that love metal music over here.....

If you believe what the media tells you about Iraq. I don't. Let's see - your army were over there shooting them, now you're trying to tell them you're helping them, right.... You're not freeing Iraq, all Bush wants to liberate is oil and cultivate a climate for American commerce in the country.
