Edmonton's Striker announced that just following the band's just completed European trek with Sweden's Bullet, long time guitarist Chris Segger has split with the band. Recently, the band announced that they will drop off the North American tour with Onslaught and Artillery.

The announcement on the band's Facebook page reads: "Always end on a high note! Our axe man Chris Segger is retiring from Striker now that our European tour is complete. Good luck on your future journeys! Thank you for everything Mr. Segger!

"On a related note, we are now on the hunt for new guitarist! If you are interested please send us a video of you playing some Striker songs and a current live video."

Segger followed up with the following post on his Facebook page: "Friends! As you have probably read. After 7 years, 3 albums, an EP and nearly 200 shows all over the world, I have decided to leave Striker. I want to send a huge Thank you to everyone who supported me and the band and to all the wonderful friends and fans I've been able to meet along the way. It's been a hell of a ride \m/"
