Banisher Begins Work On New Album

Polish metal outfit Banisher is entering the studio to record a new album. The recording process starts in November at Invent-Sound Studio in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

This will be the band's third full-length album containing seven brand new songs, and it follows the previous "Scarcity" LP released via Unquiet Records last year. Work is expected to be completed in early 2015.

During 2013 – 2014 the band has been touring extensively promoting "Scarcity," touring across Europe and performing alongside metal leviathans such as Hate. The band had this to say:

"The last two years have been a major breakthrough for the band. After recording our second album 'Scarcity' we got on a new level of quality and musicianship. We had several fantastic opportunities to play great gigs, tours and festivals. It’s really hard for a band like us to operate effectively without the support of major labels or expensive promotion/management, but nevertheless many people appreciated our work. Especially after seeing us live. We really put tons of effort in our performances, and it’s definitely worth it.

"These two years gave us huge motivation to work on the new album. Normally, it takes at least 3 years to create new songs. After recording 'Scarcity' I though that it’s going to be extremely hard to create something better. I couldn’t be more wrong. New songs are definitely superior. This time, the whole material was written in less than half a year. I’ve been more creative than ever. Those 7 songs are just relentless. I’m 100% certain about the quality of the new stuff, it gives me shivers whenever I play/listen to those songs.'
