Within Our Gates Releases New Single "Sleepers Wake"
In anticipation for an upcoming 2015 EP release, the melodic metal quintet known as Within Our Gates has released a brand new song.
The first taste of new music since 2012's "Kingdom Of Mind" is entitled "Sleepers Wake" and is a small preview of what to expect from the band in 2015. Check out the track below.
"Sleepers Wake" was written to picture a devastating moment in the life of guitarist Hunter Carter. The song depicts the story of Hunter's closest friend being involved in a horrible car accident that rendered him in a long lasting coma.
The lyrics to the song come from the perspective of Hunter and what he wanted to say to his old friend as he lie comatose. After writing the lyrics for what would be the newest Within Our Gates single, Hunter's friend has since waken up and now is in recovery.
