Sunflower Dead Gearing Up To Record New Album

Coming on the heels of last month’s U.S. tour with Powerman 5000 and (HED) PE, California hard rock outfit Sunflower Dead is pleased to announce the group has tapped Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Godsmack) and Mikey Doling (Snot, Gemini Syndrome) to produce an upcoming full-length album.

Recording will officially start this November, with the album release scheduled for next year. Co-producer Dave Fortman states: "I am very much looking forward to producing the new Sunflower Dead record along with longtime friend and producer Mikey Doling. This record will be a great experience for all involved."

Co-producer Mikey Doling adds, "I am so excited to be producing the next Sunflower Dead album! The big bonus is that Dave Fortman, who has produced some of the finest albums in the last 15 years, is producing the album with us. With Dave being one of my best friends and mentor, Sunflower Dead is going to get a lot of exciting energy from the two of us working together with them!!”

Sunflower Dead front man Michael offers, "I can't even describe how excited everyone in SFD is to be working with our friend Mikey Doling and the great Dave Fortman. Mikey's enthusiasm for music is completely overwhelming and something that just sparks so much excitement. The fact that he will be co-producing the album with the amazing Dave Fortman is still blowing our minds. For me personally, Dave has produced some of my favorite records of the last 15 years. What's more exciting is the caliber of vocalists he has produced – from Amy Lee to Corey Taylor to Chad Grey. I get to learn from one of the best!"
