Sanctuary Shoots "Frozen" Music Video
Reactivated Seattle metal band Sanctuary recently filmed a video for the track "Frozen" with director Dirk Behlau.
"Frozen" (hopefully having nothing to do with the movie, since we've seen enough of that in metal already) is taken from the band's upcoming album, "The Year The Sun Died," which will be released on October 6th in Europe and on October 14th in North America via Century Media Records.
The video will make its online debut on September 23rd; photos from the shoot can be seen on Sanctuary's Facebook page.
In related news, Sanctuary singer Warrel Dane and bass player Jim Sheppard's post-1992 Sanctuary outfit, Nevemore, is streaming the entire "The Year of the Voyager" DVD (2008) online in its entirety. Filmed in Germany in 2006, "The Year of the Voyager" features the band performing in support of "This Godless Endeavor," and can be viewed at this location.
Sanctuary's "The Year The Sun Died" is the long-awaited follow-up to the band's first two studio albums that were released on Epic Records: "Refuge Denied" (1987) and "Into the Mirror Black" (1989). The new album's track listing is:
1. Arise and Purify
2. Let The Serpent Follow Me
3. Exitium (Anthem of the Living)
4. Question Existence Fading
5. I Am Low
6. Frozen
7. One Final Day (Sworn to Believe)
8. The World is Wired
9. The Dying Age
10. Ad Vitam Aeternam
11. The Year the Sun Died
BONUS: "Waiting for the Sun" (The Doors cover; included on the mediabook, plus CD insert inside the LP)
