"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Widow Sunday To Play Karmakon 2014

Widow Sunday, which was covered in the Boston edition of our continuing look at underground metal bands, has checked in with the following announcement about returning to the live circuit at a festival next month:

"To Our Dear Friends and Fans,

"It gives me and the rest of Widow Sunday great pleasure to announce that after nearly two years of silence, we will be returning to the stage this August 16th in support of Karmakon 2014!

"We listened to your messages and posts so we figured it was about damn time we got back out there and shook our booties again. The love and support you have shown us during our time away is incredible, and frankly a little surprising. The fact that you guys still care about our music was reason enough to come back and get this party rolling again!

"We are very excited and honored to help celebrate Rock Karma Productions for all the hard work and dedication they have given to the bands they support. RKP helped Widow Sunday in innumerable ways and helped lift us to a new level. Your hard work will not be forgotten!

"We’re very excited to announce some line-up news: Original member Adam Cutler has returned to the fold on rhythm guitar! In addition, performing with us at this show will be Shaun Callaghan of Give Zombies the Vote on lead guitar!

"We are so happy that he’s with us to start this new chapter in the Widow Sunday story, and we can’t wait to share it all with you. So let’s get out there and dance!!"
