Rising Moon Productions today releases the first teaser trailer for the upcoming documentary “Soaring Highs and Brutal Lows: The Voices of Women in Metal,” produced and directed by Mark Harwood.

The trailer can be viewed below, and more info is available at the documentary's website here. The film explores the experiences of female metal vocalists and combines interview, concert, and archival footage to highlight the growth in popularity of this music internationally.

Featured interviews include Floor Jansen (Nightwish/ReVamp), Doro Pesch (DORO/Warlock), Simone Simons (Epica), Charlotte Wessels (Delain), and Anneke van Giersbergen, among others. A release is scheduled for later in 2014.
