Seventeen More Bands Added To Download 2009

The organizers of Britain's Download Festival has announced a urther seventeen bands for this years edition of the event. The festival will now see appearances from Hollywood Undead, Steel Panther, Trigger The Bloodshed, Lauren Harris, Hexes, Hunting The Minotaur, Japanese Voyeurs, White Man Kamikaze, Loverman, Black Spiders, General Fiasco, Sacred Mother Tongue, The 69 Eyes, Dear Superstar, Pulled Apart By Horses, Violent Soho and Brides.

KID: Nope. It's not a tour. It's a festival and they only do stuff like this for the blokes across the pond. I'd love to see something like this stateside, but it will never happen. Closest we will get is Mayhem or possibly Ozfest again.

Too late. After all the garbage they announced in the first flurry, I (again) decided to just stick with Graspop in Belgium. Every band I want to see at Download is also playing there, the ticket's cheaper, campsite facilities better, beer costs less, locals are friendlier, the schedule is adhered to so you don't miss bands, site is smaller so it's quicker to et between stages...
Shame. Download / MoR used to be an awesome festival but it needs better organisation. And fewer hidden extras like campsite charges and parking fees.
