The Swan King Streaming "Last So Long" Album

The Chicago post-hardcore merchants in The Swan King - which features members of Pelican and Planes Mistaken For Stars - dropped second album "Last So Long" earlier this week via War Crime Recordings.

Tracked by War Crimes co-owner Sanford Parker at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio, "Last So Long" is an eight track torrent of gruff, melodic, riff-laden enormity. Listen to the full album below, courtesy of AVClub.com.

The Swan King To Release New LP

Chicago post-hardcore unit The Swan King - featuring members of Pelican and Planes Mistaken For Stars - today reveals the details on forthcoming second LP, "Last So Long."

Set for release on June 3rd, 2014 via War Crime Recordings, the offering was recorded by War Crimes co-owner Sanford Parker at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio and boasts an eight track outpouring of gristly, melodic, riff-laden urgency.

The Swan King Signs To Seventh Rule

The Swan King formed in 2009 by guitarist / vocalist Dallas Thomas (ex-Asschapel), bassist Jamie Drier (ex-Planes Mistaken For Stars) and Chicago native Zafar Musharraf on drums. The Swan King's debut release "Eyes Like Knives" was recorded with Sanford Parker and is due out in spring via Seventh Rule.
