New England Metal and Hardcore Fest 2010 Announced

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will enter year 12 this April with an eclectic mixture of bands from the metal and hardcore genres. Returning to the Palladium in Worcester, Massachussetts, the event will take place on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, with an extra special pre-party sponsored by Atticus on Thursday, April 22.

Bands performing on Friday April 23 include Mastodon, Between The Buried And Me, Baroness, Cro Mags, Earth Crisis, Death Threat, Death Before Dishonor, COA, American Me, Thick As Blood, Forfeit, XTheWarX, Grave Maker, Rose Funeral, Conducting From The Grave and Howl. Doors open at 3:00PM

Bands performing on Saturday April 24 include Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Job For A Cowboy, Whitechapel, Skeletonwitch, Eluveitie, 1349, Impending Doom, Lecherous, Nocturne, The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, Chelsea Grin, Abacabb, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Malefice, Swashbuckle, Cattle Decapitation, Acaro, Holy Grail, Disembodied, Cruel Hand, Reign Supreme, The Mongoloids, XTyrantX, Foundation, Soul Control, Alpha Omega, Burning Empires, Mother Of Mercy, Gaza, Across The Sun and Monsters. Rhode Island's Built To Last Fest Details Revealed

The Built To Last Fest 2009 will take place on May 8th, 9th, and 10th at Club Hell & Jerky's in Providence, RI. Friday's show begins at 6pm, while Saturday and Sunday begin at 1pm. Tickets are $25 for Friday and Saturday, and $20 for Sunday. A three-day pass is $55. Here's the schedule:

Complete Lineup Confirmed For NEMHF 2006

The full lineup for the 8th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, which is sponsored this year by ESP Guitars and Krank Amps, has been confirmed.

The three-day festival at The Palladium in Worcester, MA, will feature headliners Lacuna Coil, Black Dahlia Murder, and Between the Buried and Me on Friday, April 28. Arch Enemy, Chimaira, and Exodus will headline Saturday, April 29. Headliners for Sunday, April 30 are Gamma Ray and DragonForce.

UK-based DragonForce will be making its first-ever American appearance at the festival. Italy's Lacuna Coil and Sweden's Arch Enemy will be making return appearances at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, after stellar performances at the 2003 and 2002 editions of the festival.

"It's fantastic to be a part of what is quite possibly the best U.S. metal fest around!" said Arch Enemy guitarist Mike Amott. "This is our third time playing the New England Metal and Hardcore fest and it's always a pleasure. It's held in a great venue with great fans."

"It is an honor for us to be one of this year's headliners at the New England Metal and Hardcore festival," said vocalist Andrea Ferro. "We are more than ready for it. We can't wait."

Death Threat and Palehorse Plan Split CD

Death Threat and Palehorse have announced plans to collaborate for a split CD release. Death Threat will enter the studio in January to record their material and the effort is slated for a spring 2006 release via Spook City Records.

As previously reported, Palehorse guitarist John Tamas passed away this summer on July 25, 2005.

Death Threat Breaking Up

Connecticut hardcore band Death Threat is reportedly calling it quits, after roughly eight years together. An official announcement hasn't yet been made, but the group will reportedly play their final show on January 29th at the Knights Of Columbus in Wallingford, CT, alongside Madball, 100 Demons, Death Before Dishonor, and others.

Death Threat Finish Recording Album, Tour Dates

Connecticut hardcore band Death Threat has finished recording a new full-length. Entitled "Now Here Fast," the album was recorded at Atomic Studios and will consist of thirteen tracks.
