Skinlab Cancels Remaining Tour Dates
Skinlab vocalist Steev Esquivel has issued the following statement about canceling the band's remaining tour dates due to illness:
"Hey Metal Heads,
"I went to the hospital last night after dealing with chest and lung pains for the last 2 weeks on tour. I thought it was just a cold and something that would pass but before the show in Herkamir, NJ I decided to take myself to the Cooperstown Emergency Room. I was told my condition was a severe lung infection that my body has not been able to fight, due to the tour schedule we've been dealing with and the nonstop lifestyle that I live just trying to make things happen for the band and so I can tour.
"Bottom line is the doctors have told me I've pushed myself to the limit and was lucky enough to get treatment before this turned into full blown Pneumonia. Having been told that I am completely bummed to announce that we are going to be cancelling the remaining dates on the Sons of a Sik World tour. This is the first tour that I have personally cancelled due to any weakness and feel it's best as I am just not representing Skinlab to its fullest.
"With the dates currently being considered for make up, we will keep everyone informed of our tour schedule and future plans as were all on our way home to rest up. Huge thanks to our new metal brothers in Darksun, Sik World Clothing for sponsoring the tour, and all the promoters and fans who have stood by us!
"We will be launching a new contest with Revolver Magazine and a prize pack from Peavey this month, so watch out for that, and we will be adding new merch designs to our online store."

Skinlab Issues Band Update
Skinlab has issued the following update about their recent and upcoming activities:
"Last night 's shows was killer!! Thanks to everyone that came out to make it such an awesome night!! Huge props to Andy Green for sitting in for Paul while he was away with family obligations. Andy came in with less than two weeks to learn our shit and absolutly crushed it.....not only crushed it but seemed to be a crowd favorite as we left the stage a few people stating chanting Andy,Andy...fuckin way cool junior! Kiler job brother!!......If that wasn't enough to keep the crowd going, last night also served as the first show of our new guitarist Buzzard. Buzz who is also the current bassist for our homies 36crazyfists has been a longtime friend and was actually in Skinlab during the first albums touring cycle and has always been a metal brother who we all knew would be jammin with Skinlab again.
"While originally set to replace Glenny for the Brazilian tour that got snuffed! After trying out a couple of guitarists we decidided to fly Buzzard back down to do this show and start rehearsing for our up coming tours...to say the least Buzz kranked out the whole set as if hes been in the band for years, representing Skinlab fully.......all in all great fun with some good buds......we've proved once again to ourselves that we work best under pressure, we're ready for anything that comes our way........bring it!!!
"Now, with the release of our new album The Scars Between Us just 17 days away we are putting the final dates together for our first tour of the U.S in nearly 3 years. It's been a long time since we've been on the road, we're all definetly excited to get back out there and seeing all our friends again.
