Hammers Of Misfortune Announces New Shows
San Francisco's Hammers of Misfortune will be hitting the road this December for a string of dates in the North West with support coming from Relapse Records' Christian Mistress. Hammers of Misfortune will be playing with the band's newly-rejuvenated lineup in support of the new album "17th Street."
The entire "17th Street" album is also currently available for streaming at this location.

Christian Mistress Inks Deal With Relapse Records
Relapse Records has announced the signing of American heavy metal warriors Christian Mistress. Relapse commented on the band:
"Christian Mistress (Christine Davis: vocals, Jonny Wulf: bass, Oscar Sparbel: guitars, Reuben W. Storey: drums, Ryan McClain: guitars) has released their debut full-length 'Agony & Opium' in 2010 to critical acclaim and as toured alongside Thrones, Slough Feg, and more in support of the release. The Olympia, WA band is preparing to enter the studio next month with Tim Green (Melvins) to begin recording their Relapse debut and follow-up to Agony & Opium."
Christian Mistress also commented on the forthcoming LP: "In this offering our drive and power has branched from the roots of our beginnings. Wild and lightning-charged songs move ever forward in our attempt to reach the core."
The band will be performing in the Northwest this weekend alongside Slough Feg and Witch Mountain.

Kemado Records Announces SXSW Showcase
Kemado Records has finalized the lineup for its 2011 SXSW showcase. Thursday, March 17, at Valhalla in Austin, TX, Kemado "summons a night of thunderous, space-travelling sounds, promising more steel, sludge, and psych than any other show at the festival." The full details follow:

Christian Mistress Announces New Tour Dates
Olympia, Washington's Christian Mistress has just confirmed the details on the band's next round of touring, which kicks off in early March. The new West Coast tour runs through most of the month, kicking off in the Northwest and raging down to Texas and back over three weeks. The dates will feature Christian Mistress sharing the stage with Danava, Witch Mountain, Slough Feg and more, including a showcase at Austin's SXSW as well as the Scion Rock Fest in Los Angeles alongside Obituary, Morbid Angel, Integrity, Crom, Nails, Atheist, Bastard Noise, The Body and tons more on March 5th.

Scion Rock Fest 2011 Line-Up Announced
The official line-up has been announced for the forthcoming Scion Rock Festival. The 2011 edition of the Scion Rock Fest will be headlined by death metal legends Morbid Angel and will feature 19 other bands. Scion Rock Fest 2011 is set to take place on March 5 in Pomona, California at the Fox Theater and the Glass House, with two other stages being built for the event by festival organizers. Six additional bands will be announced in the near future while you can find a list of the confirmed bands below:

Christian Mistress Signs To 20 Buck Spin
Olympia, Washington based heavy metal act Christian Mistress has signed to 20 Buck Spin to release the album "Agony & Opium" later this August. 20 Buck Spin issued the following statement about the album:
