Melbourne thrashers Envenomed have returned with a new vocalist and comeback shows announced. The band has issued the following update about it:
"Hey guys, sorry for our absense. Since I (Mav) joined Eye of the Enemy I haven’t had a lot of time between work, life and of course the mighty ‘Demonhead’ to to a lot else, and unfortunatly Envenomed got put on the shelf. But after over a year without a show in Melbourne we’re back on Oct 31st to lay waste to Central Club in Richmond, and, we have a new vocalist!
"Aaron Fitzpatrick has been a good mate of mine for many years and a big fan of Envenomed since its Birth. When I asked if he would like to take up the job of lead vocalist he jumped at the chance! Azz is an absoulte cracking vocalist and fits in to the band awesomly so get set as this guy can wail!
"Also appearing on the comeback night will be Melodic Death Metal Stylings of Meltgsnow all the way from Singapore, The pure raw thrash energy of Elm ST and the Dark and Etherial tones of Okera!
"Also as a special treat on the night, the 1st 100 payers thru the door pickup a free copy of the 2009 Debut Envenomed EP, Laser and smoke show and all your favourite heavy chunky tunes playin all night!! So, we’re back and wanting the ‘Return of the Serpent’ to go off with a BANG! Seeya’s on Halloween!"

Melbourne’s Eye of the Enemy has announced a massive Australian tour to promote their debut album, "Weight of Redemption," which comes out on June 25th through Just Say Rock Records. The band will be hitting all the east coast with quick trips to Tasmania and South Australia. Two songs, “Peace” and “Burn The World,” from the new album are up on the band's Myspace.

Melbourne’s Eye of the Enemy have just announced that they have almost finished their currently-untitled debut full length, and are working on a national tour.
Guitarist Chris Kane had this to say: “We have been working on these songs for a long time now to ensure that we give everyone the best product available. Seriously, wait until you hear this thing, we know that you will be impressed. We haven’t hit the stage in over 5 months and can’t wait to get back out there with this album.”
The album is stated for a June release through Just Say Rock Records with distribution confirmed for Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, South America and Japan, and with more territories to be announced in the coming weeks.
Upon the album's release, the band plans to embark on an extensive tour of Australia.
