Dead To Fall Members Arrested On Drugs Charges

Select members of Dead To Fall were arrested for drug charges in Tennessee on Valentine's Day. Dead To Fall had the following to say about the incident:

"On our way to eat at the local soup kitchen for the homeless, various members of our band were detained after a local 'super cop' used his hawk-like vision to notice a lack of proper seatbelt usage. In a baffling twist of events, the officer speculated that out of the five of us sketchy looking dudes that live in the van, one or more of us could have been 'reefering.' After being questioned and searched, we were charged, processed, and released in time to still perform later that evening in Louisville, KY."

The band will resume their "Arthropodan Eroticism" tour with Winds of Plague, Impending Doom, and With Dead Hands Rising.

Assuming they are not unjustly incarcerated, Dead To Fall will be playing their sobering brand of party metal along Kingdom of Sorrow, Turmoil, and Thy Will Be Done. The dates are as follows:

2/27 Worcester, MA @ Palladium (upstairs)
2/28 Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
2/29 Philadelphia, PA @ North Side Bar
2/1 Albany, NY @ Valentines
2/2 New York, NY @ Knitting Factory
2/4 Toronto, ONT @ El Macombo
2/5 Cleveland, OH @ Peabody's
2/7 Detroit, MI @ Magic Stick

Dead To Fall's fourth full-length, Are You Serious?, will be released February 19th ovia Victory Records.

Ex-7A7P Guitarist Joins Royalty In Exile

Former 7 Angels 7 Plagues and Dead To Fall guitarist Matt Matera has joined New York City metal/hardcore band Royalty In Exile. The group comments:

"As very few knew, he was out here for the past week working on material with us. We managed to put together a new track which will continue our mission in bringing back kick ass original music, with plans of Matt moving out here permanently by January (which is right around the corner). We're hoping to have some new material and the band up and ready to go shortly after. For now we added a new track to keep everyone busy."

Ion Dissonance Tour Dates, New Album Details

Montreal-based quintet ION DISSONANCE are getting ready to record their 3rd album and follow-up to the ABACUS Release "Solace" that left reviewers raving in 2005. ION DISSONANCE's new album is going to be entitled "Minus The Herd" and will be recorded with Zeuss. Singer Kevin McCaughey says of the album: "This is by far some of the best stuff we have ever written. There are some changes in direction with this new release, but I definitely think the die hard Ion followers will still be into the new stuff. I guess the only word to describe this new album would have to be brutal. Just straight and plain heaviness."

ION DISSONANCE will be hitting the road in the United States with Arsis and Beneath The Massacre with a stop at the California Metal Fest. They will also be touring Europe with Dead To Fall and Through The Eyes Of The Dead in May. "As for the upcoming tour dates I have to say that I, myself and the rest of the band are really looking forward to heading out with our good friends in Beneath the Massacre for their first strand of US shows. I have never been out to the west coast and I am really excited about it. We have also just confirmed our first ever European tour with our good friends in Dead to Fall and Through The Eyes Of The Dead. We are all really excited about this, and I can't wait to hit the road with these new songs once the recording process is finished."

Here are the currently confirmed Ion Dissonance tour dates: More...

TTEOTD Plan European Tour w/ Dead To Fall

South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have been confirmed for a European tour alongside Dead To Fall and Ion Dissonance throughout May later this year. Currently demoing material and rehearsing to enter the studio to record the band's new album, 'Malice,' the tour marks THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD's first time touring Europe since forming in 2003.

Having already supported the band's 2005 Prosthetic Records debut, 'Bloodlust,' most recently with appearances at Sounds of the Underground and on a fall headlining tour in 2006, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD will enter Mana Studios with producer Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel) February 16 to lay down tracks for 'Malice,' currently slated for a tentative summer 2007 release. Alan Douches (Unearth, Shadows Fall) will handle mastering and Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord) will return for artwork duties.

"The new material is coming along nicely," guitarist Justin Longshore said previously. "The songs are a lot more mature and the music is much faster, aggressive, and way more pissed off. I think fans are going to really love it. We are really pumped to work with Erik Rutan on 'Malice.' We've never worked with a producer and I don't think we could have chosen anyone better; we really admire the work he's done in Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal and also the engineering efforts he's produced for Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, and Premonitions of War, among others. After we hit the studio, we plan to dominate the world once again and tour throughout the year. We will be playing a lot of new places including Europe. 2007 is going to be an exciting year for TTEOTD."
