Descend Checks In With Band Update
Descend has checked in with the following update about the band's current activity:
"It's 2 am and I'm not really tired. We got home from a cruise last night. We played on 'Rockin' the Galaxy.' An overall well spent day with beers and good company. I guess we were a little rusty since we haven't played since.. 13th of March, I believe. But it was nice.. and a good warm up for next weekend when we will be playing again for a bigger audience. I'm really looking forward to that gig. A small stage with (hopefully) lots of people! That's intense, and great! Yea.. it will be one hell of a night!
"So what's up in Descend camp? Well, as I just wrote we playing some shows at the same time as we're looking for more. By that, we are also rehearsing the songs to get 'em even tighter, not prioritizing song writing but in time we will get into writing mode. We have started on one new song beside rehearsing the older ones, and this new piece of art sounds fucking amazing! I mean goosebumps and a broken neck! Damn!
"About the record; we're trying to get along on how the album cover should look and in a Descend way - we're getting there, nice and slow. Don't get me wrong. It's not as we haven't gotten started. Just the final touches left and it's actually looking awesome. We're figuring on how we should do the booklet. Oldschool or not? That's the question. Well mates... even though I'm not sleepy it's late and a new day is waiting around the corner so... Good fight and good night!"

Descend Issues Studio Update
Guitarist Alex Wijkman of Sweden's Descend has issued the following update about the band's time in the recording studio:
"Alright guys, as you might already know we have entered the studio to record our debut album. Here's a quick update from Essex, England.
"Andreas and Jonte arrived at Escape Route Studio last Monday to start recording drums. As you know we have a fucking amazing drummer, hence he managed to lay down drums for 9 tracks in 4 days. That's right people, the album will consist of 9 tracks, but that is all we will tell you about the album for now. I arrived today to start recording guitars along with Andreas. I went straight into the action and we nailed the rhythm guitars for 4 songs today!
"We have good help from our producer and owner of the studio Dan the great and his sidekick Joe, who really help us get the most out of our playing. Justin will fly down on Friday to start laying down some heavy grooves on the bass. Stay tuned for more updates during the following days!"
Descend To Enter The Studio
Sweden's Descend has issued the following update about gearing up to hit the recording studio:
"Hope you're all doing fine, cause I sure am. Except a little pain in my back caused from none-ergonomical digging but that's not important (please have pity). So Escape Route Studios is booked!
"We will be heading there in two rounds. First time will be in August, 10-27, recording as much as possible but vocals, and the second round starts off the 6th of September and I will have to the 11th to do all the vocals, which shouldn't be a problem.
"Our material is pretty much completed, there are few things left to deal with so withing a week it will all be done for sure and then we all just have to prepare ourselves individually. By that, I'm now going to listen a little to the preprod. I bid you farewell."
Descend Issues New Album Update
Sweden's Descend has issued the following update about working on new material:
"Good evening! It's been a while.. we haven't been rehearsing a lot. Most of our time is spent elaborating on the new material and started recording the pre production. We've completed guitar tracks for four of them bitch ass songs and tomorrow Andreas and Justin will have a smaller session of bass recording.
"If we're fortunate they will not only eat curry and drink beer but record a whole lot as well. Everything is proceeding just fine and we're all really happy with the songs we've got and those that we are still working on. I guess I will update you at least one more time before I cut myself out of reality and become one with the books and notepads to prepare for the examinations in late may. 'Til then - enjoy!"
