Somnae Reveals "The Burden Adage" Details
Washington based act Somnae has issued the following update about the band's upcoming "The Burden Adage" album:
"Months have passed since our last update, but it has indeed been worth the wait. First off, we are now officially releasing the title for Somnae's first full length album, 'The Burden Adage,' which will be released sometime this winter. Some of the track titles include 'Open Seas,' 'In Vain,' 'Void,' 'Erasure,' 'Inner Demise' and the long awaited 'The Longing.'
"We are very excited to share the news that our two very special guest artists, Carmelo Orlando from the italian melodic death-doom pioneers Novembre, and Egan E' Rourke from the well respected North-American doom band Daylight Dies. They will both be in charge of the clean vocals.
"We are very happy to have them working with us! Last but not least, we are also writing to share with you the great news that the renowned digital artist Travis Smith (Novembre, Katatonia, Anathema, Strapping Young Lad, God Forbid, Nevermore, Amorphis, etc) is now officially in charge of the album artwork for 'The Burden Adage.' Somnae Recruits New Drummer
Washington's Somnae has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer:
"So we got good news for you folks. A new drummer has been added to our line-up and we're very proud to announce his addition to the band.
"Alexander Linder (Axis of Evil, Somnombalistic) is now the official drummer for Somnae and will be featured on the new album as well as future live performances. We are very excited to finally start playing live and are looking forward to getting shows booked. Feel free to contact us if you'd like to book us for local or international shows."
Somnae Recruits New Keyboardist
Washington's Somnae has issued the following update about releasing a new EP and recruiting a new keyboardist:
"After many months of relentless wait, we finally get to unleash our first debut EP release titled 'Forever More', which consists of three intense and powerful 'obscure' compositions of unforgettable and yet memorable dark melodic metal. Driven by cold and dense atmospheres, strongly fueled by death and doom elements, we deliver a limited 500 copies full color limited digipack edition perfect for collectors featuring somber artwork by Belgium artist Niels Geybels from Depraved Designs. Mastering duties were delivered by mastermind legendary swedish producer/engineer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Swano from Unisound Studios. Truly a collector issue!

Somnae Streaming New Song Online
Washington metallers Somnae have issued the following update about streaming a new song online at their MySpace page:
"It's been quite a while since we updated this site last time. Now we're back with good news for everyone out there. We have finally finished recording and mixing the upcoming EP 'Forever More' after a few months of extensive work from all of us. It will be released this fall on a digipack version featuring artwork from Depraved Designs. Last but not least, all mastering duties will be delivered by Dan Swano from Unisound Studios, Sweden. In the meantime, feel free to listen to a new song uploaded on our myspace player titled 'An Ominous Strain' featuring jesse Heidner on vocals and Brian Stephens on drums."
Somnae Issues Recording Update
Somnae has issued the following update about recording new material:
"It has been a few weeks of hard work in terms of general recordings and pre-production. Drums are officially done and we want to congratulate Brian for doing such a good job getting those killer takes. It was worth the wait. Some vocals and most of the guitars have been also tracked down for the three songs to be included in the MCD.
