Agnostic Front Announces U.S. Tour

New York hardcore legends Agnostic Front has announced that they will be embarking on a headlining tour of the West coast and South west of the United States in January to celebreate the re-release of their classic records, "United Blood" and "Victim In Pain." They will be joined on the trek by Death By Stereo.

The tour dates are as follows:

Austrian Death Machine Posts Teaser Online

As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis and California frontman Ahhnold are back for round two with the release of AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE’s "Double Brutal," the follow up to 2008’s highly successful release, "Total Brutal." This two-disc set features one disc of all new heavy tracks in the tradition of all of Ahhnold’s greatest cinematic moments and a second disc of cover songs including songs originally performed by METALLICA, MEGADETH, MISFITS, JUDAS PRIEST and more, with cover art once again being tackled by Ed Repka (MEGADETH, DEATH, NOFX, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, etc), and is set for a North American release on September 29, 2009. Death By Stereo Posts "I Sing For You" Video

Death By Stereo has posted a new music video for the song "I Sing For You" online. The video shows the band in full effect as well as their fans in full air guitar mode. Vocalist Efrem Schulz says of the filming of the crowd scene in the mall "It was an amazing time, people were freaking out and the mall cops as well as real cops chased us out and through the parking lot. All things condidered, we pulled it off! Elliot Dillman is a genius director! We hope everyone has as good of a time watching it as we did filming it! Thanks to all the rad people that came out and took over the mall!!!"

Death By Stereo's new album, "Death Is My Only Friend," was released on July 7th via Serjikal Strike Records.

Death By Stereo Signs To Serjical Strike

Death By Stereo has announced a title, release date and label for their forthcoming full length. The record is titled "Death Is My Only Friend" and is due out July 14, 2009. The band will be working with Serjical Strike, the label formed by Serj Tankian of System of a Down.

Serj commented on the deal:

"As someone who appreciates Death By Stereo and what they’ve done over the years, when I found out that the band was looking for a new label partner, I immediately approached them about the possibility of signing to Serjical Strike. They are an amazing band that has always impressed me with their musicianship, honesty and work ethic. Their latest album is one that I am very happy to be a part of as I feel it is their best yet."

The band parted ways with longtime home Epitaph Records after the release of their 2005 album, "Death For Life." They are currently touring Europe with Strung Out.

Nations Afire Forms From Members Of Ignite, More

Members of Rise Against, Ignite, Death By Stereo and Reach The Sky have announced the formation of Nations Afire. The band includes by Chris Chasse - who also formed Last of the Believers - and Brett Rasmussen (Ignite), Todd Hennig (ex-Death By Stereo), Nik Hill (Ignite) and vocalist Steve Ludwig.

According to their Myspace page, their first show will be Bamboozle Left (California) followed shortly by the Groezrock Festival in Belgium, and a European tour.

The band is currently finishing the song writing process and hitting the studio this month. They plan on releasing an album in March/April. You can find more details - but no music yet - on their Myspace page. More...

Death By Stereo Posts New Songs Online

Orange County's Death By Stereo have posted four new songs from their upcoming fifth studio album, "Death Is My Only Friend." The record follows "Death For Life" which was released in 2005. The new album is expected to drop sometime in 2009. It will not be released on the band's longtime home, Epitaph, however. The band are currently free agents. The group also recently announced some shows with Suicidal Tendencies in December.

Death By Stereo Reveals New Album Details

Orange County punk metallers, Death By Stereo, have revealed the details of their long-awaited new studio album. Frontman Efrem Schulz mentioned in a recent interview that the album is now complete and will be titled "Death Is My Only Friend." The record follows "Death For Life," which was released in 2005. Efrem also mentioned some additional details:

"We recorded it with Jason Freese (Green Day) and Jay Baumgardner who has done just about every rad record under the sun! We are so pumped, it blows all the records we've ever done away!"

Liskfest Now Back On Schedule

Just three days after announcing the cancellation of Liskfest due to "poor ticket sales," organizers are now saying the event is back on. Here's the latest:

"We are back! We have new promotors and new investors and the show will go on! We have a ton of new things that will be added to the show as well. Spread the word let people know we are back! Thank you to Paul T. and Goldenvoice. Thank you to Paul Frank Industries and CardboardRobot.

"It might take a little bit for Ticketmaster to get back up and running but we're working on it!"

Bands scheduled to perform included Gorilla Biscuits, Death By Stereo, Bleeding Through, H20, and Rival Schools.
