Savage Messiah Announces New Live Shows

The London metallers Savage Messiah have announced that fellow Brits and label mates The More I See will support them on select dates of their recently-announced U.K. tour, which kicks off on October 25th in Oxford.

Savage Messiah front man Dave Silver comments: "We're really pleased to be bringing The More I See out with us in November. We've known the guys for a while and they're a great bunch, and also a great new British heavy metal band. Bring on November!"

The More I See lead guitarist Gizz Butt adds: "It's an absolute honour and a very exciting prospect that we will be touring with Savage Messiah in the fall of 2014. After the 'Plague of Conscience' album being eternally on repeat in The More I See band van, then 'The Fateful Dark' arriving in March 2014, and THEN to share quality time with Dave Silver as a fellow Heavy Metal Truant on the 160-mile cycle ride 'to Download or bust', it's a privilege to be able to support a band we all really dig and feel akin with from a musical and labelmates perspective. Savage Messiah Releases New Music Video

London's heavy metal act Savage Messiah has released a new music video for the track "Hellblazer," featuring London contortionist Pixie Le Knot (Game of Thrones Season 3, The Devil Inside). "Hellblazer" tells a tale of power, religion, and corrupted innocence through an ancient Illuminati ritual. Check it out below.

Savage Messiah front man Dave Silver comments: "As we get ever closer to the release date for 'The Fateful Dark,' we're very pleased to unveil our latest promo for the track 'Hellblazer.' Musically, this is a solid representation of the Savage Messiah sound: melodic, heavy, catchy and with guitar solos galore!

"We tried to invoke that classic Uriah Heep-esque groove with this track so we hope you dig it! And talking of invoking, the video depicts us conducting a kind of exorcism ritual of sorts where we draw the evil pope from contortionist and Game of Thrones actress Pixie Le Knot! We want to extend our thanks to director Tom Walsh and all involved in creating this video!"

"Hellblazer" is taken from Savage Messiah's upcoming album, "The Fateful Dark," which is due to be released on March 10th in Europe via Earache Records and on March 18th in the USA via Century Media/Earache Records. More...

Savage Messiah Streaming New Song

After being rebuffed by Freemasons while trying to rent a building for a photo shoot, London metal act Savage Messiah has released a new track from upcoming album, "The Fateful Dark."

Give a listen to the new track "Minority of One" below. "The Fateful Dark" is due to be released on March 10th in Europe via Earache Records and on March 18th in the USA via Century Media/Earache Records.

Savage Messiah frontman Dave Silver comments:

"The title for this song comes from a famous saying by Ghandi, who said that even if you're in a minority of one, the truth is the truth. Which is a good message to people about breaking the mould and not getting sucked into 'group think' mentality. Standing up for what's objectively right and not compromising for the sake of social acceptance. Musically, this is my favourite Savage Messiah track ever; we've managed to marry the thrash and heavy metal elements into a cohesive track, which is catchy and melodic, but still fast and thrashy. Enjoy!" More...

Savage Messiah Attempts To Rent Freemason Building

Earache Records has issued the following press release about U.K. band Savage Messiah being rebuffed by Freemasons while trying to rent a building for a photo shoot:

"Savage Messiah attempted to hire the UK Freemason headquarters for an upcoming photo shoot but were banned from entering the United Grand Lodge in London after the society considered the metal band’s name 'offensive' citing: 'There are concerns over the group’s name and we have to be conscious of our members.'

"The Fateful Dark, to be released March 2014, is the scintillating third album from the London based heavy metallers and thematically covers some of the rituals and controversy surrounding the secret society of Freemasonry.

"Cross of Babylon, the third track makes reference to a highly secretive Masonic ritual called The Red Cross of Babylon, whilst the eye-catching album artwork depicts themes of greed, power and corruption alongside Masonic iconography."

Savage Messiah frontman Dave Silver said: “Once more the dubiously hypocritical nature of religious groups has reared its head. We’ve been denied access to a building due to our apparently offensive name. I’m assuming that the word 'Savage' is the root of the consternation in question. This I find amusing from a group of people that adhere to a book that promotes slavery, genocide and celebrates a single human sacrifice as if it had any baring what so ever in the eradication of 'sin' or whatever that is supposed to be.

"If the band was called 'arse-fucked Messiah' I might understand their concern, however the very nature of the biblical myths is based on the most savage of human behaviours. Ironically most Christian churches depict the effigy of a brutal murder, the most violent of image of a man strung up, maimed, humiliated and sacrificed, yet us long haired, peace loving, free-thinking heavy metal louts are too 'Savage' to enter a building…such is the way of the world!”

Savage Messiah will release "The Fateful Dark" via Earache Records on CD and limited edition coloured vinyl this coming March 10th, 2014. More...

The band will be working on the follow-up to 2012's "Plague of Conscience" with producer Scott Atkins (Sylosis, Behemoth) at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk. Savage Messiah frontman Dave Silver comments:

"We're beyond excited to be fast approaching the day when we'll head off back into Grindstone Studios, to work once more with Scott Atkins on what we can promise will be the most metal Savage Messiah CD yet! We've approached the writing process in a totally old school manner; just four guys in a rehearsal space getting a vibe going, playing heavy metal! Which has really allowed us to express the chemistry within the band and build on the musical foundation we laid with 'Plague of Conscience'. More...
