Formed in 2002, Nemesea started out as a gothic metal band. It was formed by vocalist Manda Ophuis and guitarist Hendrik Jan de Jong. They now play in a more alternative rock style.

Nemesea Signs To Napalm Records
Napalm Records has issued the following announcement about signing a deal with Nemesea:
"Napalm Records is very proud to announce that the Dutch gothic rock band Nemesea has joined their ranks. The band revolving around front lady Manda signed a worldwide record deal with the Austrian label and is currently working on new songs. The new album will hit the streets in summer 2011!"
Nemesea also commented:
"Teaming up with Napalm Records is something we have been looking forward to for quite some time now. We’ve been working really hard on our new album and are very excited Napalm have taken us under their wing. A great record company that believes in Nemesea! There’s a lot of emotion on this album as well as power and anxiety. So, on the upcoming album there will be very strong and powerful songs as well as beautiful fragile ballads. We have full confidence that Napalm Records will bring the music to where it belongs."
Nemesea Reveals Live Album Details
Dutch gothic metal band Nemesea has revealed the cover art for their upcoming live album, "Pure Live @ P3," which will be released on September 1st. The artwork was created by Marco Hartmann. The tracklisting for the live album is as follows:

Nemesea Issues Band Update
Dutch alternative/metal band Nemesea has issued the following update about working on new material:
"So, here we are again....! It might seem like we're really busy doing nothing. Just sitting in ther sun all day. The weather is really nice you know?
"But..... reality is: We are working our ass off here! You better believe it! Even though we've only announced just one show (Heeg July 11th), we've got some things up our sleeve. Just to make you curious, a live performance and surround sound are involved. So stay tuned... A part from that we are working on some new cool tunes for you guys and gals out there.

Nemesea Releases First Music Video
Dutch alternative/metal band Nemesea has worked together with D'iMage, a visual media company that has worked with big acts including Ayreon, Stream of Passion and After Forever (a band which Nemesea has been an opening act for), to produce their first music video entitled "No More." It has just been released and can be viewed below.
