I had never expected the scene to embrace ’Neogenesis’ the way it has done, and it makes me very excited about this tour. The fact that we are re-visiting areas we enjoy a lot and that we once again are joining forces with Souldrainer only adds to my excitement. It’s gonna be a great journey!"

Swedish death metal masters Diabolical have released an official video for the track “Metamorphosis,” which is taken from the “Neogenesis” album.
“Neogenesis” is a concept album uniting an eleven chapter post-apocalyptic novel and will be made available as a exclusive limited first edition Mediabook.
Vocalist and guitarist Sverker comments: "We wanted this video to have a close symbolic connection to the philosophy and concept of 'Neogenesis'. The theme of this particular chapter of the novel is reflected in the transformation you see in the video. Superficially something monstrous is transformed into something beautiful which represents a metamorphosis of something much more profound. Those who hear the album and read the book will understand."

We have put several years of hard work into the creation of ‘Neogenesis’ and it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we now put this first part of ‘Neogenesis’ out for people to enjoy. Diabolical reveals that there is more to the new album “Neogenesis” than just a collection of songs. “Neogenesis” is also a novel telling the story of the end of the world and what lies beyond. The book is written by guitarist Carl Stjärnlöv and each chapter of the book is represented by a song on the album. Stjärnlöv explains:
“I’ve had this idea for many years and I’m very pleased that we went ahead and actually realized it. The novel tells the story of a man who fights to survive in a world that has come to an end. This struggle for survival is not only physical but also metaphysical and spiritual. The struggle of the protagonist is also a reflection of our struggle as human beings in a world which we cannot take for granted much longer.”
Stjärnlöv elaborates further on the book and the concept behind “Neogenesis” in the fourth installment of the band’s studio diary, available below. "Neogenesis" is due for release on the 19th of April via ViciSolum Productions and will be published as a media book (combined book and audio CD). More...
