Conducting From The Grave Streaming New Song

The Sacramento, CA quintet Conducting From The Grave is set to release the new album "Revenants" on October 25th, 2010. The band has partnered up with Lambgoat.com to debut the new track “Unholiest of Nightmares,” which can be heard now via this location.

Guitarist Jeff Morgan commented: "The track, 'Unholiest of Nightmares,' is my personal favorite on our new album Revenants. It has a little of everything that represents our style from classic CFTG thrash-style riffing to pretty melodic parts, as well as crushing heaviness. The track does a good job of representing a fairly comprehensive musical picture of the band. We have been playing it most nights on the current tour (the 'Time to Bleed Tour' with Suicide Silence). So far it's been going over great, as well as has the rest of the new material we've been playing.

"Things are looking great for the immediate future of the band. We've got some great tours lined up and we're all super excited about the album release this coming Monday, October 25th. We actually get to play Denver to celebrate the release on Monday, which is great because Denver has always been like a home away from home for us. To give you a little insight into the lyrical content of the track I asked our vocalist, Mikey, to give a thematic/inspirational overview of the lyrics." More...

Conducting From The Grave Streaming New Song

The Sacramento, CA quintet Conducting From The Grave is set to release the new album "Revenants" on October 25th release. The band has partnered up with Bloody-Disgusting.com to debut the new track “Path of A Traitor,” which can be heard at this location.

Vocalist Jeffery Morgan stated: "The overlying theme of 'Path of A Traitor' deals with betrayals of friendship or trust through manipulating and taking advantage those who do not stop them from doing so, and in the end, the justice the betrayer deserves. The song starts out with a visualization of all of the misdeeds that have led to persecution and ends with the traitor being brought to justice, hence the line 'you fucking traitor, there shall be justice when you burn alive.' Overall, the lyrics are fairly generalized with some of Mikey's personal experience tied in. We've all been betrayed at some point and have desired vengeance and retribution. That is what this song is about.

"We are currently out on the 'Time To Bleed Tour' with Suicide Silence, My Children My Bride, Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza and Molotov Solution. So far the tour has been amazing. All of the people on the package are awesome and we're all having a lot of fun. Not only is Suicide Silence probably the biggest headliner we have gone out with but they are also probably the most down to earth band and and are very cool to us. On this tour we are playing a little bigger venues than we have previously been used to. Having bigger stages to run around on has helped our live show a bit too. The crowds have been very responsive to our new material. We're all counting down the days till October 25th. We can't wait to unleash Revenants on the music world."

Arsis Announces U.S. Tour

Virginia's Arsis has announced a run headlining U.S. tour dates in December. "A Tour for the Sick" is presented by MetalInjection.net and will include Powerglove and Conducting From The Grave. Arsis vocalist/guitarist Jim Malone commented:

"What does a band that is notorious for canceling tours, video game induced tendinitis, and a Noah Martin look-a-like all have in common? If you have spent the better part of your existence trying to play 16th triplet arpeggios at 250 bpm you will probably be overcome with joy (or something) to hear that we (meaning Arsis dudes), Powerglove, and Conducting From The Grave are teaming up for a US tour this December. We are beyond stoked for our first headlining tour in support of Starve for the Devil and hope to see you at one (or more) of the tour dates. We promise to 'turn up the hell' on this one and make your weekend (or week night) one that is 'rock hard' and metalificated."

Conducting From The Grave Cancels Tour Dates

Conducting From the Grave has issued the following statement regarding dropping off the band's previously scheduled tour dates with Knights of the Abyss:

"Due to scheduling conflicts with getting studio time to record our vocals for our next album we are being forced to drop off our upcoming tour with Knights of the Abyss. We are extremely saddened by this, but the silver lining is that our album will come out sometime this year instead of early next year.

"We are definitely still taking part in the 'Time to Bleed' tour in October with Suicide Silence, Mychildren Mybride, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, and Molotov Solution. Our sincerest apologies to anyone who was planning on coming to see us on the Knights of the Abyss tour, this situation is completely out of our hands."

NEMHF 2009 Adds Third Stage

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will introduce an additional stage this year dedicated to up and coming bands.

The third stage, sponsored by Deathcote Records, will be located at Chasers Nightclub, located behind the Palladium on the corner of Martin Luther King and Commercial streets. The main festival will be taking place at the Palladium.

“There are so many great bands and not enough time to get all of them on during the course of two days,” said festival co-organizer Sott Lee. “Adding a third stage is a great way for us to showcase some of the developing bands and it’s a terrific opportunity for these bands to play alongside some of today’s top metal and hardcore bands.”

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will take place on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, with the Atticus pre-party on Thursday, April 16. This year’s event is presented by Randall Amplifiers, Washburn Guitars and Eden Electronics. Metal Blade Records will present the main stage. Prosthetic Records will present the second stage.

The Atticus-sponsored pre-party will be a unique event that will be combining film and music, kicking off with a screening of official film sponsor Anchor Bay's film "Crowley," co-written by none other than Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. The provocative supernatural thriller is the tale of a virtual reality experiment gone wrong, sending the soul of the British occultist Aleister Crowley into the body of a shy university professor. But even as Crowley creates all-new orgies of depraved pleasures and black magic, he is now preparing to unleash the ultimate occult event upon the world. Also showing is "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," a sometimes revealing, sometimes hilarious documentary about the legendary Canadian metal band. The movie follows best friends Robb Reiner and Lips as they make a pact to rock together forever. Their band, Anvil, hailed as the "demi-gods of Canadian metal, " influenced a musical generation that includes Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, despite never hitting the big time. Following a calamitous European tour, Lips and Robb, now in their fifties, set off to record their 13th album in one last attempt to fulfill their boyhood dreams. The film will be followed by a performance by the band itself. The pre-party will also be held at the Palladium. Admission is free with a weekend pass or $15 for non-ticket holders.

Prices this year are $40 for Friday, $45 for Saturday or $79 for a 2-day ticket that also includes free admission to the kick off party on Thursday. Tickets are available at all Strawberries, FYE Stores, online at tickets.com or by calling (800) 477-6849. Tickets are available now.

Bands scheduled to perform this year include: More...
