Assailant Streaming Two New Songs

Sweden's Assailant has issued the following update about streaming two new songs online:

"Dear friends and fans of Assailant. Again, we just want to thank you all for the support you have given us through these years. We are, as most of you know, working on our third album which is yet to be named. We are really happy with the results we've gotten so far. Lets just hope you all enjoy the tunes as much as we are.

Assailant Working On Third Album

Assailant has issued the following update about working on a third full-length album:

"Okey, an update! Life is cold in Sweden right now and very depressing. BUT! That doesn't stop us from warming ourselves in the studio with a beer or two. Even a bottle of Glue wine might be poured into our frozen bodies.

"There you have it, We are working on our third album, as soon as we are ready we will start looking for a label to release it. And the coming days we will be signing with a management, which is still TBA.

"We are really looking forward to signing with the guys and girls and hope that we will find a good common ground to stand on for a long and fruitful journey. (More info will come) That's it for now. Stay tuned for more information. And again, sorry for being so slow on the updates. I blame the cold......."

Assailant Checks In With Band Update

Assailant has checked in with the following update about the band's activity:

"Hey people! Sorry for the lack of updates, don't worry we are very much alive still. Here is a small update for ya! We are currently working on our third album, yet TBA. We are currently unsigned as we left DY1 a while back.

Assailant Issues Recording Update

Sweden's Assailant has issued the following update about recording new material:

"Hey guys and gals! We are still working hard in the studio with the demo songs which will be recorded for real this spring. After we are done we will start working on a release for our third album. We have no label right now so we will start the hunt this fall. Songs so far: 1. My Hate remains 2. Shades of Grey 3. The End 4. Calling 666 5. The Final Hour. Cheers!"

Assailant Parts Ways With Record Label

Sweden's Assailant has issued the following statement about parting ways with their record label Dockyard1:

"We just wanna say thank you to Dockyard1 and give them our best. We, Assailant, have decided to leave dockyard1 just because we feel that we would benefit from either looking for a new label or starting a new. Right now we will continue working on our TBA third album and see what the future holds. Again, thanx to all of you @ Dockyard1. You've been great guys!"

Assailant have also announced they will be streaming the first three songs from their upcoming album via their MySpace page on Sunday, January 3rd. The tracks will be titled "My Hate Remains," "Shades Of Grey," and "The End."

Assailant Parts Ways With Keyboardist

Swedish metal band Assailant has issued the following update regarding the departure of keyboardist Peder Sandstroem:

"Our keyboard player Peder Sandstroem has decided to leave the band due to the lack of interest. And of course we feel that it's a damn shame and a bit sad but we are happy for his sake. It is never easy to leave something you've invested so much time in, but then again, one should never force oneself to stay just because."

Assailant Post Two New Songs Online

ASSAILANT, the Umeå, Sweden-based band featuring guitarist Oscar Norberg ("little brother" of Emil of PERSUADER/SAVAGE CIRCUS fame and Nils Norberg of NOCTURNAL RITES), has posted two songs from its sophomore album, "Wicked Dream", on the group's MySpace page. Check out the tracks "A Day Tomorrow" and "Wicked Dream" at this location.

Due on March 24 via Dockyard 1, the CD "is not only more mature than its predecessor but it shows a band that has clearly found its own path in metal, very melodic yet really hard, sprinkled with influences of rock, death metal and thrash," according to a press release. "Crown of the album is the ballad 'Eternal'."

ASSAILANT recently finished filming a video for the song "A Day Tomorrow" with Owe Lingvall of Village Road Film.

The band's debut album, "Nemesis Within", was released in 2006 via Dockyard 1.
