Our Darkest Day Returns From Hiatus
Massachusetts metal outfit Our Darkest Day has returned from hiatus and is busy recording a 3rd studio album and follow-up to 2008's "Wounds" (Redemptive Records).
Production duties are being handled by Ben Jon at StillWork Studios (All that Remains, The Acacia Strain) in Holyoke, MA. The new album should be available in the U.S. through Altered Industries Records at the end of summer 2013. Check out a recording studio video below.
Our Darkest Day Finishes Recording New Album
Our Darkest Day has finished in the recording studio with Ben Jon at Stillwork Recording Studios in Holyoke, MA and the album is out to be pressed. The title for the the album is "Wounds" (changed from the previously reported "By The Time You See This, I'll Be Gone"), and it's expected to be released on July 8th, 2008 by Redemptive Records.
A new song should be posted online in the near future on the band or label's MySpace page.
As previously reported, Redemptive records has decided to close its doors, but will still be releasing this album and Senseless Beauty's album coming later in 2008.
Redemptive Records Closing Its Doors
Massachussetts hardcore/metal label Redemptive Records has decided to close up shop this year. Here is the official announcement:
"After many times thinking and thinking about the fate of Redemptive. We have decided Redemptive Records is closing shop. We will be helping Our Darkest Day with finishing up their release. Due to family and other unforeseen factors we are closing Redemptive Records. As for the owner of Redemptive Records he will continue to be in scene. He is moving to Joplin, MO in June. He is working on a writing career and He will be seeking other ways to support his family. He wanted Redemptive to pan out so he could support his family and friends but I guess God has something different in mind. Don wishes Our Darkest Day, Senseless Beauty, and Pictures of Winter the Best!"
Still be on the look out for Our Darkest Day's album coming in July 2008 and Senseless Beauty's album coming later in 2008.
Our Darkest Day Recording New EP
Our Darkest Day is currently in the recording studio with Ben Jon at Stillwork Recording Studios in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The new E.P will be titled "By The Time You See This, I'll Be Gone" and is due out on July 8th, 2008 On Redemptive Records.
Earlier this year the band announced the addition of Benjamin Jon to their roster on guitar. Jon replaced Matt Carney, who left the band in September.
