Scarpoint Donating Profits For Anti-Bullying

Sweden's Scarpoint has issued the following announcement about donating the profits from the release of a new song to an anti-bullying campaign for Swedish schools:

"Hey fuckers! So finally we can give you the news we've waiting for to give you for over a year now. When we recorded the album we also recorded a song with a bunch of our friends on it. Why?

"It all begun back in 2008 when we read an article about a young boy from Örebro, Sweden, who was repeatedly physically bullied at school, receiving hits to both his head and his face. He came up with the idea to pay other pupils with his own toys for protection. The school tried to put a stop to it but to no avail and as a result the boys suffered from difficult psychological problems. When we read this, our hearts was shattered into thousands of pieces. We could not imagine that a Swedish school would fail to this degree in regards to protecting this young boy.

"This is just one of many examples that further confirm that the lack of sufficient anti-bullying programs in schools negatively effects our future generations. Not content to just sit around and do nothing, we, Scarpoint, decided to take action and call some of our friends and try to give something back to the kids that listening to our style of music. We also decided that every single Krona/ Pound/ Dollar/ Euro/ Yen/ Franc/ Peso/ Rupee/ Ruble/ Lira, whatever, that is generated by sales of this song that would normally (hopefully) find their way to us will go directly to an anti bullying campaign for Swedish schools. This project has been fully funded by us, Scarpoint, along with the generous assistance of all the people involved who gave their valuable time, knowledge and talents to the project, so there is no money needed to be recouped, and it all goes to the cause. Scarpoint Drummer Filling In For Dead By April

As was previously announced, Drummer Erik Thyselius of Swedish metal act Scarpoint will be filling in for Alexander Svenningson of Dead By April. Erik has now issued the following update:

"Hey fuckers!! Sitting on the train on my way down to Gothenburg. Am a bit pissed since Sweden lost against Slovakia in the Olympic icehockey game but I´m really looking forward to todays rehearsal with Dead By April (here on refered as DBA). As soon as I get to Gothenburg I´m going to my PDP and Sabian office to pick up my kit and the other stuff that I´m gonna use during this trip. For all of you drum nerds, usually I have a lot of different cymbals and stuff when I play, this time I had to take away a lot of cymbals cause I will not use them and it would just be additional weight to the already heavy drum cases and hardware.

"After we´ve picked up my stuff we´ll be heading straight to the DBA rehearsing room for a couple of hours of rehearsal. Will get back later on with that report. Until then as always, Stay twisted fuckers!!"

Scarpoint Issues Band Update

Sweden's Scarpoint, who recently finished recording their upcoming album, has issued the following announcement about their recent and upcoming activity:

"Hey fuckkers!!

"For some odd reason we are being haunted by bad luck when it comes to rehearsal. First I got the tonsillitis and haven't be able to rehearse for over 2 weeks. Then we managed to start play again when, last weekend we had a water leak in the rehearsal room. So weren't able play last week. But shame if you give up. We've found a new space and will be moving in tomorrow. This rehearsal room is so much better than our previous, and I think we will get a kick out of the environment change.

"We are gonna try a guitar player next week that we have great expectations on. This is a guy who have all the qualities that we are looking for, and he is really looking forward to the audition. We are all gonna go and see a live show with him this week to see how he´s like on stage. More...

Scarpoint Issues New Album Update

Sweden's Scarpoint has issued the following update about their new album:

"Ok fuckers!! Nothing new really. We are at the moment trying to coordinate some stuff that is happening and that has the final touch on the music part of the record.

"We've shot cover last week and Henke is working with the booklet as week speak. We will hopefully take some promo photos in the upcoming weeks and we are gonna try a very interesting guitar player as soon as we've rehearsed the songs, the reason why we haven't done that yet is that ill, tonsillitis, that is hanging on to me a bit too long now. But I hope to recover after the weekend and then we'll start rehearsing again. But nothing bad that brings good with it, the illness has allowed me to spend more time in front of the computer editing the 'making of'. It's a blast, I'm laughing my ass of sometimes, unfortunately it's sooo many inside jokes that no one will ever have a clue of, but some of them are in there!! Hope that you are okey out there and waiting to hear the record...you will soon!!

We've also started talking to some guitar players who will audition for the spot. It´s goona be exciting to start playing the new songs with a full line up.

"We've decided not to take or book any shows for this year. We feel that we want to focus on finding a guitar player that can fill the spot, also we need to rehearse the songs so thightly that it will blow you away!!
