Gama Bomb and SSS Comment On Irish Tour
Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have just completed a short tour of their homeland with support from labelmates and Liverpool crossover thrashers SSS.
GAMA BOMB and SSS kicked off the "Back to the Fu-tour" last Thursday, making their way around the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, before GAMA BOMB start the second leg of the tour in the UK in a couple of weeks.
GAMA BOMB frontman PHILLY BYRNE comments on the Irish shows:
"We finished our four date Irish tour on Sunday night, very late, and we're completely knackered. We managed to cheat the Icelandic volcano by touring at home at precisely the right moment - take that mother nature!"
"It was great fun, and much more successful than we ever expected it could be. Turns out people in Ireland love us! In Galway one girl fell off the top of a human pyramid and needed stitches on her head, we hope she's okay. We hope fans in the UK wear crash helmets for our upcoming shows." More...
Gama Bomb Announces Irish Tour Dates With SSS
Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB are sure to please their home fans with the confirmation of their first ever Irish tour. GAMA BOMB will be taking Liverpool thrashers and labelmates SSS on a run of shows in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland this April.
GAMA BOMB frontman Philly Byrne comments:
"When we're busy gigging and recording everywhere else it's been easy to neglect where we come from, so we're finally going to give our patient Irish fans a chance to see us live without getting on a plane! We talked about having SSS on an Irish tour for a long time, so I'm delighted that it's finally happening. No joke, I think we're going to have a hilarious time with them."

Short Sharp Shock Announces Tour with Cancer Bats
Liverpool's crossover thrashers SSS are currently gearing up for a UK tour in a couple of weeks with Canadian punks CANCER BATS.
SSS bassist MARK MAGILL reports on what the band have been up to since the release of their critically acclaimed second album, "THE DIVIDING LINE," last year:
"It's been a while since we've been out and about, so we can't wait to hit the road this month. Dave had a baby, I insulated my loft, Foxy has been making brownies and Pete has been researching the dynamics of paper airplanes. Short Sharp Shock Posts New Song Online
British crossover thrashers SSS have released a brand new track, titled "Ride The Best - Fuck The Rest", from their upcoming new album, "The Dividing Line."

Short Sharp Shock Recording New Album
Crossover thrash artists Short Sharp Shock (SSS) are currently recording a new album. You can check out a video of the band recording the drum tracks at the bottom of the page.
SSS bassist Mark Magill has said, ""We just finished three days tracking drums for the new SSS album and it sounds berserk. Dave pulled out all the stops and we got 30 tracks laid down. It's so much faster, heavier and harder than the first record and we can't wait to get it done and in your mits." More...
SSS Prepare To Record New Album
Liverpool based crossover-thrashers SSS are finalising plans for the recording of their official Earache debut, due for release later in the year.
As many as 25 songs have been written during sessions for the album, with around 15 to be selected for the album itself. With drum tracks due to be laid down in April, the band hope to complete the recording with the help of Andy Mason, who also worked on the band's self titled debut.
Lead shouter Foxy elaborates further on the progress so far:
"Its all systems go our end for the next record, we cant wait to get crackin' on it in the studio. We've got a load of new tracks finished and in the bag - a good mix to keep people on their toes. Plus Pushead on board to do the art - so hit puree .....the tage is set for a ripper." More...
SSS To Release Limited Edition Tour CD
Earache Records report that "gnarly crossover merchants SSS will issue a very limited edition version of their debut full length, SSS, with four bonus tracks recorded especially for the release, on February 25th.
To compliment the band's UK trek on the GALLOWS tour, the band recorded the songs live at SSS HQ in Liverpool on December 25th, 2007, including 3 non albums tracks."

SSS To Support Gallows In February
Earache Records report that Merseyside hardcore thrash merchants SSS have been confirmed as one of the support acts for the upcoming GALLOWS tour in February 2008.
The tour will see SSS rock into venues up and down the UK alongside FUCKED UP, SET YOUR GOALS and UK punks Gallows.
SSS frontman Foxy has spoken out about what to expect from the tour: "SSS is stoked to be on this tour. It will be explosive from the start. The bill is diverse and thats a good thing. Everyone will go home with a souvenir, be it a thick lip, chipped teeth or a black eye. SSS will flick the switch to unleash the beast."
After a storming set at London's Brixton Academy supporting US metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE last month, SSS will be sure to bring their own dose of energy, chaos and all out hardcore thrashing madness to the proceedings.

Pig's Head To Crown S.S.S. London Performance
Tomorrow night, Merseyside thrashers S.S.S will step out onto London's Brixton Academy stage as one of the support acts for US metallers Killswitch Engage. In their true underground and frenetic style, S.S.S look set to deliver a show-stopping performance to the 5,000 capacity London venue. Speaking out about his plans for the gig, the band's enigmatic frontman Foxy has stated:
"Last time SSS was in London they cut our sandwiches into triangles. We're not taking any chances at Killswitch. We're bringing our own packed lunch and our SSS mascot pigs head. Once we have fed our faces the crowd can taste the scraps."
The pig's head was famously tossed amongst frantic fans at the 'Thrash Gig' that S.S.S held in Liverpool earlier this year. This video footage of the raucous performance of crowd favourite 'The Beast' should provide a taste of what to expect from S.S.S at the London gig.

SSS To Support Killswitch Engage In Brixton
Fresh from playing a sell-out gig with US thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE at the the London Underworld on Friday, SSS (SHORT SHARP SHOCK) are set to take their underground thrash sound straight to one of the city's largest venues.
On October 3rd the Merseyside crossover thrashers will play their largest show to date by supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE at London's Brixton Academy. This news comes just as a wave of excitement surrounding the thrash scene in the UK has escalated, following the release of SSS's Short Sharp Shock in June, and the upcoming release Enter The Grave from Huddersfield thrashers EVILE on August 27th.
Speaking about the upcoming gig, SSS vocalist Foxy states: "Reason we are doing this gig is when are we ever likely to step onto a massive stage like that ever again? I dont know how many thrash bands would fill a venue that big. But KSE asked for us and we said yer. Colchester is the day before as well. Eggs, sweaty socks, used undies and pigs heads will delicately flutter down on the crowd. We playing London on October 13th as well. Venue TBC.
Rememeber how SEND MORE PARAMEDICS went down when they supported OFFSPRING? They got all sorts lobbed at 'em. Did 'em no harm and went down in history for doing it. It will be the crowd that needs a blues brothers chicken net. Not us."

Short Sharp Shock Sign To Earache Records
SHORT SHARP SHOCK (most commonly known as SSS) have now signed to Earache Records. Rising up from the musical trenches of Liverpool, SSS debuted a raging 6 song demo in October 2005. In late 2006 SSS released a 16 song shocker through Dead and Gone Records, receiving elite critical acclaim and sticking a spotlight on SSS’s riveting underground live shows.
SSS will re-issue their self titled through Earache Records and are gearing up to take real thrash to the next level, touring the UK and securing plans to expand throughout Europe.
