Scars Announce New Album Title

Brazilian thrashers SCARS have set "Devilgod Alliance" as the title of their new album, tentatively due next spring. The CD will contain 11 tracks and will be recorded in January. According to the group, the album's lyrical concept will be based on ageless literature masterpieces that portray evil as a character (i.e.: "Masque of the Red Death" and "The Raven" by E. A. Poe, Goethe's "Faust", "Macbeth" by W. Shakespeare, etc.).

In other news, SCARS has announced the addition of drummer Joao Gobo (ARUM, DARKNESS IN FLAMES, HEVILAN) to the group's ranks. Gobo lists his main influences as Dave Lombardo, Pete Sandoval and Gene Hoglan, among many others.

Scars Makes "The Nether Hell" CD Available Free

Brazilian Thrash Metal band SCARS are working full tilt in the composition of new songs for their upcoming album, with and expected release date for the second half of 2007. In the meantime, the band has decided to make available the entire album, "THE NETHER HELL" (2005), for download at their website. The package includes the full CD, 4 bonus tracks and complete artwork (all by Gustave Doré) for printout. The free Download starts March 1st and ends March 31st.
