Scars Announce New Album Title

Brazilian thrashers SCARS have set "Devilgod Alliance" as the title of their new album, tentatively due next spring. The CD will contain 11 tracks and will be recorded in January. According to the group, the album's lyrical concept will be based on ageless literature masterpieces that portray evil as a character (i.e.: "Masque of the Red Death" and "The Raven" by E. A. Poe, Goethe's "Faust", "Macbeth" by W. Shakespeare, etc.).

In other news, SCARS has announced the addition of drummer Joao Gobo (ARUM, DARKNESS IN FLAMES, HEVILAN) to the group's ranks. Gobo lists his main influences as Dave Lombardo, Pete Sandoval and Gene Hoglan, among many others.
