Spanish metal band SANDALINAS has posted two unreleased tracks on their MySpace page.
"Battlefield Blues" is a track that belongs to the recording sessions of SANDALINAS first album called "Living on the Edge" (2005) as signed by current Firewind's singer Apollo Papathanasio. Gus G, guitarrist for Firewind is the new new Ozzy Osbourne's axe man.
The folowing track, which features current SANDALINAS singer, Rick Altzi (At Vance and Frequency), is called "No Matter What" which is a version of the so-called track as featured on SANDALINAS second CD "Fly to the Sun" (2008), edited by Metal Heaven Records. Also drummer Patrick Johanson (Yngwie Malmsteen) and bassist Mick Cervino (Yngwie Malmsteen, G3) are also featured in that track apart from SANDALINAS main man, Jordi Sandalinas. More...
SANDALINAS — the Spanish/Swedish band featuring Mats Rendlert (bass; DREAMLAND), Alvaro Svanerö (drums; LOCH VOSTOK), Jordi Sandalinas (guitar) and Rick Altzi (vocals; AT VANCE) — will enter Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden in August with producer Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND) to begin recording its third album. SANDALINAS — the Spanish/Swedish band featuring Mat Saint (bass; DREAMLAND), Alvaro Svanerö (drums; LOCH VOSTOK), Jordi Sandalinas (guitar) and Rick Altzi (vocals; AT VANCE) — has cancelled its support slot for TESTAMENT for two shows in Spain. The group's participation in the concerts was called off "due to circumstances beyond our control," according to a statement from SANDALINAS.
The affected dates — which will still go ahead with TESTAMENT headlining — are as follows:
Jun. 24 - Heineken, Madrid, SPA
Jun. 25 - Apolo, Barcelona, SPA
SANDALINAS, the Spanish/Swedish band featuring Mat Saint (bass; DREAMLAND), Alvaro Svanerö (drums; LOCH VOSTOK), Jordi Sandalinas (guitar) and Rick Altzi (vocals; AT VANCE), recently shot a video for the song "Never Seen Before" at the Fortress of Varberg in Varberg, Sweden. The clip will feature indoor and outdoor footage and will be available in within the next two weeks.
According to Wikipedia, the Fortress of Varberg was built during 1287-1300 by count Jacob Nielsen as protection against his Danish King, who had declared him an outlaw after the murder of King Eric V of Denmark.
"Never Seen Before" comes off SANDALINAS' latest album, "Fly to the Sun", which was released in January via Metal Heaven. The CD features guest appearances by Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER) on keyboards, Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE) on guitar and Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND) on guitar. More...
Spanish/Swedish melodic metal band SANDALINAS has found a new home on Metal Heaven. Their new CD is called "Fly To The Sun" and is due on January 18, 2007. Next to mainman Jordi Sandalinas, "Fly To The Sun" also features the great vocal talents of singer Rick Altzi (AT VANCE), Patrik Johansson (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on drums, Mick Cervino (BLACKMORE’s NIGHT) on bass guitar and Elias Holmild (DRAGONLAND) on keyboards. The album furthermore includes various guests such as Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER) on keyboards on the track “Seasons In The Sand” as well as Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE) and Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND) at various guitar solos.
