Stick to Your Guns Issues Tour Update
Vocalist Jesse Barnett of STICK TO YOUR GUNS has issued the following update from the road:
“The positive reactions each and every night of this tour have blown away any expectations we had regarding the turn outs at the shows, and our band in general. The kids that have made it out to the shows have given us everything they have, which has made these dates so memorable already. We are looking forward to the remainder of the tour and hope that we will be fortunate enough to have everyone continue to give us their best.”
“The Hope Division is more than a new record. Every day our world is defeated by carelessness, ignorance, and selfishness. We can't look away from our television set that allows us all to look into the problems facing the world as a whole, yet we are still just looking. Our leaders wage war on things like drugs, terror, and poverty, yet they fail to see that these are all products of a pre-existing condition. The problem starts with the heart and magnifies into injustice from there. People all over the world suffer as a result. These songs are their stories. When the world around us crumbles, provide the hope needed to rebuild.”

In addition to the tour lineup, Darkest Hour, Stray From The Path and Your Demise will be joining the party on select dates.
UNEARTH's Trevor Phipps comments: "This is going to be our first North American Headlining tour in over a year and we are amped to get back out there. We'll be playing tunes from all of our albums, some extra deep cuts we haven't played in a while and some stuff we haven't played live yet from The March. We've been messing around with some different lights and stage set ups and will mix up the set each night, so it will be different from past tours. It's a solid package of bands and we can't wait to get on stage, play a headlining set and rage with our fans."

Blackguard Recaps Ensiferum Tour
Paul Ablaze of Montreal's Blackguard has checked in with the following recap of the From Afar tour, headlined by Ensiferum this past fall:
"Another tour in the Bag , Another notch on the belt , and Another round of good times were had by all.
"For a tour that seemed destined to fall apart on itself just before it's start, I believe it exceeded all expectation by a long shot. With Ex Deo pulling out for the majority of the tour and Hypocrisy having to bail all together, the future looked very bleak. But at the end of the day it was Ensiferums call to bite the bullet and pull ahead with the tour, and for that we cannot thank them enough.
"As disappointed as we were not being able to tour with those two amazing bands, their absences proved to be a blessing in disguise. Being bumped up to direct support might have been one of the best things to happen to us, and with the addition of Lazarus A.D we got to become friends with some of the most badass people we've ever met.
"Although the crowds might have been smaller overall, we got to play to more people every night and our new position on the tour certainly motivated us to step up our game.
"This tour being quite the contrast to our last tour (Summer slaughter) in pace and scale, it was a little more relaxed and offered us some more down time to breath. That being said here are some of my more memorable moments from 'from afar' More...
Evergreen Terrace Reveals New Album Details
Jacksonville, FL metal band Evergreen Terrace has announced the track listing for their upcoming full length, "Almost Home," due out September 29th on Metal Blade Records. Guitarist Josh James comments on the song titles, "We've always had a lot of pop culture references in our song titles and this record is no exception. Before we even started writing new songs we already have a list of titles from books, movies, and comedians. Half of the song titles on this record are pulled from the lyrics. The others are pop culture references that relate to the lyrical content." More...
