Violent Storm Announces New Lineup

VIOLENT STORM, the band formed by ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/BLACKMORE'S NIGHT bassist Mick Cervino, has announced its new lineup which will be featured in the group's upcoming video. It is as follows:

Mick Cervino- Bass
Craig Swyger - Vocals
Dorian Vaz - Guitar
Rod Valente - Drums

VIOLENT STORM's latest album, "Storm Warning" was produced by JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing (his first production credit outside of PRIEST), and features guest appearances by Downing, Malmsteen and Roy Z (HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON). The CD was released in the U.S. on July 17, 2007 via Gold Storm Records.

An October 2006 interview with Downing conducted by "Pandora's Rock Box" for U.K.'s Radio Caroline station about about his involvement with VIOLENT STORM is available for download in MP3 format at this location.

Violent Storm Announce New Guitarist

VIOLENT STORM, whose new album "Storm Warning" was released on October 23, has announced that Martin Mickels will be joining the band when they tour in 2007. Martin, currently the lead guitarist with Gary Barden's band STATETROOPER, will be playing the parts performed on the album by rock luminaries Yngwie Malmsteen and K.K. Downing (JUDAS PRIEST). Mickels is no stranger to stepping into the shoes of guitar gods — in STATETROOPER he replaced Brian Robertson (ex-THIN LIZZY, MOTÖRHEAD), and regularly plays the guitar parts co-written and performed by Michael Schenker for the MSG tracks performed by STATETROOPER.

Judas Priest Guitarist Produces Violent Storm

VIOLENT STORM, the new band formed by ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/BLACKMORE'S NIGHT bassist Mick Cervino, will release its new album, entitled "Storm Warning", in Europe on October 23. The CD, which was released in Japan in June, was produced by JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K.
