McQueen Parts Ways with Guitarist

UK rockers, McQueen, have issued the following update regarding the departure of guitarist Cat de Casanove:

"It's with great sadness and a heavy heart that after six years of blood, sweat and tears, we officially announce the resignation of guitarist Cat de Casanove."

"Unfortunately, as with many relationships in life, people grow apart and ultimately want different things. After these six years and many ups and downs, Cat has decided that she would like to pursue other ventures and both Leah Duors and Hayley Cramer wish her the absolute best of luck and will continue to support her in whatever she decides to do in the future. UK all-girl band MCQUEEN has been confirmed as the opening act for VELVET REVOLVER on three dates in March at the "personal request" of VR guitarist Slash, according to a press release. The details are as follows:

McQueen Confirm Two Belgian Festival Dates

UK all female act McQUEEN have confirmed two festival appearances for Belgium. On August 9th they will play the Roadkill Festival in Adegem and on September 5th they will play the Wardin Rock Festival in Wardin.

Scarlet Sins To Play All-Girl WA Powerbox Festival

Scarlet Sins is confirmed to play the first annual Powerbox Festival at the Whitehorse Amphitheatre in Darrington, Washington. The Powerbox Festival will feature the world's best female hard rock and metal acts. Other headliners on the bill include: Girlschool, McQueen, Kittie, Vixen and Doro.

Some of the proceeds of the show will go towards a breast cancer charity in the memory of former Girlschool guitarist Kelly Johnson who passed away on July 15.

The festival runs from Friday, August 31 to Monday, September 4 inclusive.

Scarlet Sins is set to play at 9pm on Saturday night.

Tickets are available through the festival site at: powerboxfest.com.

McQueen Announce UK & German Tour Dates

McQueen will kick off 2007 with tours across the globe in support of their forthcoming hotly anticipated debut album "Break The Silence" on Demolition Records due out on January 22nd. The first two confirmed legs of their "Break The Silence" Tour being the UK and German legs with more dates being expected to be confirmed shortly.

A first single taken from the album called "The Line Went Dead" is also set for an early 2007 release and has been mixed by Reuben producer Jack Rustan.

McQueen Sign Worldwide Deal w/ Demolition Records

McQueen have signed a Worldwide deal with Demolition records to release their hotly anticipated debut album "Break the Silence" later this summer. Demolition Records have in recent years earned a reputation as one of the UKs leading independent rock labels with many older and larger rock acts opting to sign to them including the likes of Hanoi Rocks, Van Halens’ Dave Lee Roth and Twisted Sister.

Meanwhile Demolition have also cultivated a strong string of new acts led by Japanese scuzz rockers Electric Eel Shock who are starting to break worldwide. Now McQueen look primed to follow in their footsteps.

Their album "Break the Silence" was recorded in sections inbetween a healthy touring schedule that has spanned the last two and a half years .The album features a number of tracks mixed by Queens of the Stone Age/Tool producer “Evil” Joe Barressi who took time out to mix McQueen tracks inbetween Tool
duties.
