Roadrunner Records recently sought fan questions for Norway's Satyricon to answer. Excerpts from the fan interview can be found below:
"Jenny Sanchez, California USA: I really like Roadkill Extravaganza- will you be releasing another DVD?
"Frost: Possibly, if we release another DVD it’s going to have a very different format to Roadkill Extravaganza – it’s not going to be a follow-on to that one. We have thought of making a live DVD. It is something that might happen and at a certain point it probably will happen. I cannot really tell how and when it’s going to be but it’s going to be different. More...

Shagrath and King Announce New Band, Ov Hell
Out of Norway's biggest and darkest metal bands rises Ov Hell. This group of Satan’s all-stars has been sharpening their teeth in some of black metal's most influential bands for many years. Known as key figures in bands such as Dimmu Borgir and Gorgoroth, Shagrath and King have come together to bring forward a new chapter in Norwegian black metal history. Ov Hell will carry on in the same tradition for which King and Shagrath are known, but the collaboration between the two will mark a new era for them both.
Frost (Satyricon, 1349), Ice Dale (Enslaved, I) and Teloch (Nidingr, God Seed, 1349) have been recruited for the first full-length release. The album will contain all of the power and blast beats worthy of their evil pedigrees.
King comments: "The first Ov Hell release will contain music I've worked on in my Gorgoroth and God Seed years. It's been a little hell to actually see this music form into a band, so the name of the band is quite suitable. Through the first song I got from Shagrath I knew that he would be the perfect man to join forces with. He has strong individual qualities and a strong will to power. I am very positive that when we finish up this album it will be an album that won't sound like anything we have done before, and with a quality that won't stand back from anything presented in black metal earlier!"
Shagrath comments: “With both of our demanding music careers and other projects, timing was not on our side. After last years inferno festival, King and I yet again joined forces to brainstorm our need to collaborate our passion for dark art. Over the course of the past year, King sent me demo ideas that were so inspiring it made me put my skeptic feelings aside. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have another Black Metal project but my unquenchable thirst to explore my darkest beast, launched the birth Ov Hell. The majestic Ov Hell has become a band that reflects our roots, raw, ugly, arrogantly blasphemous with uncompromising truth from two influential Norwegian musicians needing to express our primitive side, straight out Ov Hell.”
Two new tracks, "Devil's Harlot" and "Ghosting" from the yet untitled upcoming album, have been uploaded to the band's MySpace.
Studio Line-up:
Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir, Chrome Division) - vocals
King (God Seed, Gorgoroth, Jotunspor, I, Sahg, Audrey Horne) - bass
Ice Dale (Enslaved, I, Audrey Horne, Trinacria, Demonaz) - guitar
Frost (Satyricon, 1349) - drums
Teloch (Nidingr, God Seed, 1349, Umoral) – guitar.

Gaahl Comments On Signing With Indie Recordings
More comments have been made on both sides of the camp regarding God Seed's recent signing to Indie Recordings. The label commented:
"Through the last years we've worked with King & Gaahl in many different bands and projects such as. Gorgoroth, Trelldom, Sahg, Audrey Horne and Wardruna. The quality of their work has always been outstanding, and we welcome this opportunity to once again work with them – this time building something new together. The as-yet-untitled God Seed album will be released late 2009. The album has been in the making for some time already, and continues the already established path of King and Gaahl in a natural, yet progressive way.
"The new material sounds great and we are truly looking forward to be a part of their new musical carrier through God Seed."
In a press statement King comments the signing and the upcoming album:
"I have high hopes for the future signing to Indie Recordings. Gaahl and I have had various negative experiences with labels in the past, but feel confident that we have made the right choice this time. Indie Recordings consists of people we have worked with in the past and they have shown 100% professionalism. They have proven to take care and bring the best out of the bands on their roster. The fact that they are a Norwegian label and not a Swedish label makes me even more optimistic for the future!!"
God Seed's studio line up is as follows:
Vocals - Gaahl
Bass - King
Drums – Frost (Satyricon, 1349)
Guitar – Ice Dale (Enslaved, I, Audrey Horne)
Guitar – Telloch (Nidingr, Umoral)

Magenta's "Art and Accidents" To Get US Release
Described as The Human League meets Sisters of Mercy, dark eclectic band Magenta's latest album, "Art and Accidents," will finally see a North American release on April 10 via Vendlus Music.
Fronted by vocalist Vilde Lockert, MAGENTA was formed in Norway in the summer of 1995 by Anders Odden, whose experience includes stints with bands such as APOPTYGMA BERZERK and CADAVER, as well as recording for SATYRICON, live guitarist with CELTIC FROST and guesting with MINISTRY. Over the years, the band has released a series of albums and singles, as well as a video with MORTIIS, and the current lineup was completed by guitarist Daniel Hill in 2006. Hill’s arrival signalled the start of a new dynamism and creativity for the band, which has culminated in the release of “Art And Accidents” on the All This And Music Too label on February 9.
The band has steadfastly refused to be stereotyped and likes to work outside of the conventional genre definitions, using elements that include rock, pop, metal, trip hop, electro, techno, industrial, new wave, gothic, acoustic, psychedelic, trance and film music. Odden best summed it up his creation like this: “MAGENTA is my playground where I can be as diverse and melodic as I want. Not being tied to any particular genre definition means we don’t have to restrict ourselves too narrowly, and allows us all to make the kind of music we feel like making at any given time. We all have a lot of musical experience in many genres, and as individuals we work with amazingly diverse types of artists, both in the studio and live, and each of us brings something a bit unique to the mix.”
“Art and Accidents” includes guest appearances by GOTHMINISTER, Jonas Groth and Stu Manx from GLUECIFER, and Angel and Geir from APOPTYGMA BERZERK, and is complemented by the release of two specially commissioned videos by Sandra Jensen for the track “Darkest Dream.”
