Iron Fire is In Writing Mode

Vocalist Martin Steene of the Danish power metallers IRON FIRE (also in FORCE OF EVIL) has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"We have been laying pretty low on the live performance side since we came home from touring with DEMON and SEVEN WITCHES, and there is a reason for it. We have decided to concentrate fully on writing new material to the next IRON FIRE album and have been locked away in the rehearsal room for months now. The songs are almost done and we will start pre-production within a few weeks. And what can you expect? Well, we will continue the path of 'Revenge' — the no-bullshit metal that we do. There will be songs going in different directions this time but nothing drastic — just a little reggae and samba. Just kidding :) Don't worry it will be full-blown warrior metal to the bone.

"If everything goes as planed (which it never does in this band), we will enter the studio in September. Maybe we will do one show in Copenhagen later this year if it doesn't [conflict] with recording. And yes, I know we haven't been playing Denmark for a while, but we will do all we can to make up for it after the release of our next album sometime early next year." More...

Iron Fire Frontman Explains Delay Between Albums

Vocalist Martin Steene of the Danish power metallers IRON FIRE (also in FORCE OF EVIL) has issued a statement regarding the lengthy lengthy between the release of the band's last album, 2001's "On the Edge", and their brand-new CD, "Revenge", due on March 24 via Napalm Records.

Commented Steene: "The time has come for a new metal crusade, a new album a new web site and a stronger IRON FIRE then ever.

"It's been one hell of a struggle to get IRON FIRE back in the ring and I am really proud of having this new album out and have beaten all odds. One thing is for sure five years between albums is not our style and that will never happen again, but hopefully it's been worth the wait.

"The last five years have been a rollecoster ride of emotions to the point of insanity, and yes, there have been times where I all most barred my dream in frustration and despair. But lucky for me and for those who like IRON FIRE metal I never did and for that I can only thank our fans and my band brothers.

"As you can see there a no original members left in the line up today except for me, and the reason for that will only be a guess, times change and ambition and talent draws in different durations but no matter what this album is also a victory for those old members and school friends I started this band with long ago, and I only wish them the best of luck with there new bands and for the future.

"Enough said, now its time to put the past behind and for a new battle and I hope all you brothers and sisters of true metal will fight by our side once again."
