Iron Fire is In Writing Mode
Vocalist Martin Steene of the Danish power metallers IRON FIRE (also in FORCE OF EVIL) has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"We have been laying pretty low on the live performance side since we came home from touring with DEMON and SEVEN WITCHES, and there is a reason for it. We have decided to concentrate fully on writing new material to the next IRON FIRE album and have been locked away in the rehearsal room for months now. The songs are almost done and we will start pre-production within a few weeks. And what can you expect? Well, we will continue the path of 'Revenge' — the no-bullshit metal that we do. There will be songs going in different directions this time but nothing drastic — just a little reggae and samba. Just kidding :) Don't worry it will be full-blown warrior metal to the bone.
"If everything goes as planed (which it never does in this band), we will enter the studio in September. Maybe we will do one show in Copenhagen later this year if it doesn't [conflict] with recording. And yes, I know we haven't been playing Denmark for a while, but we will do all we can to make up for it after the release of our next album sometime early next year."
IRON FIRE's third album, "Revenge", was released in March via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2001's "On the Edge" was produced by Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, TNT, HATESPHERE) and features cover art by Eric Philippe (RHAPSODY, LUCA TURILLI).
